Anyone's dream  patient of the cosmetology clinic – preserve beauty and youth for the maximum possible period. To achieve this goal, many methods and drugs are offered today, among which the doctor will have to choose the best for a particular patient – with her skin type and problems to be solved. OnCosmetics has a wide range of products that will allow the cosmetologist to choose an individual anti-aging program for any, even the most fastidious patient.

Olga Porkhal, dermatovenereologist, cosmetologist, certified trainer and speaker of international congresses, spoke about the peculiarities of choosing such a program and about innovative products from OnCosmetics to the editors of estet-portal.com.

-  Olga Alexandrovna, what are the most interesting beauty and youth products in OnCosmetics today, in your opinion?

O.P. In my trainings for cosmetologists, I recently talk about the means for rejuvenating the perioral area from the Evolution line. These are injectables that fight & nbsp; with signs of aging, in particular in this area. Be sure to tell about the production of mesothreads. Mesothreads are now the trend of the season. It is impossible not to mention peelings: they are quite new on the territory of Ukraine, very interesting and perfectly working. From myself I will say that I have already simply fallen in love with them, because these peels, if correctly chosen for a particular person, already after the first procedure give a very pronounced effect.

-  Tell us more about peels: what do they contain, what level of procedures are they intended for?

O.P.  DermaSpirit peels contain various alpha acids (glycolic, lactic), beta acid - salicylic and trichloroacetic. What are these peels interesting for: & nbsp; they can be made both superficial and superficial-median, and even good median peels - depending on the number of layers applied during the procedure. Peelings from OnCosmetics require fewer procedures than all the others that are used on the territory of Ukraine, since it is possible to apply, say, 2 layers – This will be a superficial-median peel. And it will be necessary to achieve & nbsp; a good effect is not 6-8 procedures, as is customary, but 3-4 procedures are enough. Acids are different and in different concentrations –  35%, and 70%, -  How long is the recovery period after such a peeling?

O.P.  Recovery period after all OnCosmetics peels standard – it all depends on the patient's skin and its preparedness for the procedure. It can be a small-lamellar peeling, it can be a large-lamellar one.  How will the recovery after the procedure,  can be said by looking at the patient's skin and knowing which  specific acid to use. Often, peeling can begin by the end of the second – beginning of the third day, and ending approximately on the fifth or sixth day. I try to work with these peels in such a way that the peeling is fine-lamellar. Many patients are afraid of the so-called shedding period, when peeling occurs in layers after peeling. Not everyone has the opportunity to drop out for a few days from an active daily life. For example, some of my patients who go on stage or in front of television cameras cannot afford large-scale peeling, because makeup does not fit on the face. And with fine-plate peeling, I like the effect, and even more – to my patients. I have tried several peels on myself and was surprised how it works. Finally, there are peels in Ukraine that really work as written. After all,  we often have such a problem – when they write one thing on a box, and as a result you have something completely different.

-  Is there any special technology to make the peeling turn out to be fine-lamellar?

O.P.  Yes, of course. Let's look at the skin. Depending on its type and condition, we select acid. If you use, for example, lactic acid on sensitive and insensitive skin, then peeling will be in the first case – large, and in the second – small plate. But if we talk, for example, about  Jessner peeling, then insensitive skin will give it a good peeling, and sensitive skin can get through to crusts. It all depends on the type of skin, on its density, fat content. The number of peeling layers applied and the percentage characteristics of the acid also play an important role: 35% - fine-lamellar, 70% - large-lamellar. -  What innovations in the application of threads from OnCosmetics can you tell us about?

O.P.  Today, the range of threads is quite sufficient to solve many problems of patients. There are many and very different threads: there are smooth threads, twisted threads, with notches. The size of the threads used depends on the type of face and the area being treated. -  Which threads do you prefer to work with?

O.P.  It all depends on what the patient wants to see in the end. If we are talking about the perioral area, then it is preferable to work with smooth threads or twisted ones, depending on the part of the face.  If the patient wants to get a lifting effect, to work out the middle and lower third of the face, then in this case twisted and notched ones are the priority. It all depends on the goals that the patient sets. Each person has their own individual skin characteristics, therefore the approach to the patient must be individual. -  What should a doctor ask his patient about so that the planned procedure does not harm him?

O.P.  Do no harm – This is the first and main postulate of any specialist. Considering also the fact that medicine – science is not exact, but evidence-based, the doctor is obliged to carefully collect an anamnesis before prescribing any procedure. I always repeat that the cosmetologist should know what he was sick or sick with now & nbsp; your patient, what he may develop an allergic reaction to in the future, what health problems his family members have. There are many undesirable factors that affect the condition of the skin, which are inherited. Contraindications to procedures are common and the same for everyone – the patient should be asked about diseases of the endocrine system, one should always ask about allergic reactions to any irritants, blood clotting disorders, keloid and hypertrophic scars (no injections or peels can be done with them either). Usually, patients are aware of these pathologies and tell the doctor, although they should be asked. Let me remind you that you should not do injection procedures for pregnant, lactating, patients under 18 years of age.

There are also relative contraindications – exposure to the sun, visiting the solarium, swimming pool. If the patient daily visits the pool – no injections can be done, since chlorinated water will lead to a terrible inflamed state of the wound surface of the face after the injection procedure, and even more so after peeling, not to mention the likely addition of a secondary infection. The same applies to patients who are fond of culinary creativity on the day after the procedure, and wake up in the morning with severe erythema resulting from the thermal effect of air from a hot oven.

The cosmetologist should listen to his own professional intuition and try not to do any procedure rather than harm the patient's health. We must not forget that the condition of the patient's skin can change over a short time – depending on the state of health, nutrition and even the daily routine, which means that it will react to the procedures in different ways.
