Neurodermatitis belongs to the group of atopic dermatitis and is often hereditary. Children are more often ill with it, but recently the manifestations of the disease are much more common among adults.

First signs of neurodermatitis

These include the following: redness, burning sensation and/or itching, small papular rash, later dryness, peeling and thickening of the skin.

Skin changes, especially at the beginning of the disease, are localized mainly on the face - around the mouth, later they can appear on the back of the head, in the elbow and popliteal folds, on the hands, inner thighs and other areas. Provoking factors can be some "aggressive" foods (coffee, cocoa, chocolate, spicy dishes, citrus fruits, red fruits), household allergens (dust, fluff), cosmetics, etc.

The development of neurodermatitis is adversely affected by prolonged stressful situations, physical overload, exposure to low and high temperatures, poor nutrition, and uncontrolled use of drugs. Neurodermatitis has a direct relationship with the state of the nervous system.

The disease develops more often and is more severe in people with increased excitability of the nervous system, this is a common symptom of dermatitis. This is explained by the fact that in embryogenesis the skin and the nervous system develop from the same germ layer. Violations of the nervous system, namely neuropsychiatric disorders (depression, emotional lability, aggressiveness) and vegetative-vascular disorders (pallor and dry skin) can manifest as neurodermatitis.

Treatment

Neurodermatitis needs complex therapy!

  • Sorbents (Sorbex, Enterosgel) 10-14 days
  • Apilac (royal jelly rich in biologically active substances) 10-14 days
  • Daytime tranquilizer 1 ton per day in the morning (Adaptol) 14-21 days
  • Peony tincture 30 drops overnight
  • Glucocorticoid ointment: cream with calendula - 1:2 on the affected areas with a thin layer 1 time per day for 2-3 days.
  • Cold lotions with black tea 10-14 days

Forecast

The course of neurodermatitis is limited in time, the disease can regress on its own. But in the absence of treatment, the likelihood of the disease becoming a permanent chronic form increases.
