The continuation of our spa week will be a hand treatment. After all, our hands need care no less than the body or hair, but for some reason, many people forget about caring for their hands. And very in vain. After all, the hands "age" first, and the greatest part of the harmful influence of the environment falls on the hands. Everything from cleaning chemicals to constant use of soap that dries out the skin of the hands does not reflect well on them. Therefore, the editors of Estet-portal decided to dedicate today's spa day to the hand procedure – spa manicure. Today we will tell you how to carry out this procedure at home.

Purpose of spa manicure

At the end of the working week, I want to relax and treat myself a little. It is unlikely that on Friday evening you will want to go to a beauty salon, but this is not a reason to deny yourself a manicure. This is perhaps the most common home procedure among women in our country. And you won't have to spend a lot of effort on it.

Spa Manicure Method

Today we offer you a special procedure – spa manicure. It differs from a regular manicure in that it consists of several mini-procedures:

  1. Peeling.
  2. Moisturizing and nourishing the skin.
  3. Relaxing massage.
  4. Manicure.

Spa Manicure Method

1. Peeling

To carry out peeling you need a hand scrub. You can use the store tool. There are brands that produce entire lines of hand care products.

If there is no such remedy at home, then you can prepare a hand scrub yourself. For this you need:

  • coffee grounds – 2 tbsp;
  • sour cream – 1 tsp;
  • aromatic oil – a few drops.

All components must be mixed and applied to the hands with massaging movements. Then wash it off with cool water.

2. Moisturizing and nourishing the skin

After you have cleansed your skin, you need to move on to the next step – moisturizing and nourishing the skin. First of all, you need to soften the cuticle. You can use either a special hand care product or regular olive or almond oil.

Remember that cosmetologists do not recommend removing cuticles at home. Therefore, it can only be pushed back with a wooden manicure stick. After that, you need to make the desired shape of the nail and apply a moisturizing hand cream.

3. Relaxing massage

After you have applied the moisturizing cream, you can safely proceed to a relaxing massage. Hands should be massaged for several minutes each, moving from the base of the palm to the fingertips.

Massage helps to improve blood circulation and nutrition of the nails. Accordingly, it accelerates the growth of nails and strengthens the nail plate. In addition, such a massage will help get rid of pain in any part of the body, depending on the points that you will massage.

4. Manicure

When you have finished the massage, remove the remaining cream with a tissue and proceed to the final stage of hand care at home. The last step in any manicure is the application of varnish. Apply base coat first, then 1-2 coats of colored polish, then top coat.

Remember that…

  1. Shaping nails is best done with a flexible cardboard or rubber-based nail file, as metal damages the structure of the nail plate.
  2. In order for the nails not to delaminate, they must be filed from the edge to the center and dry.
  3. The polish needs time to dry. Therefore, after applying each coat of varnish, wait a little before applying the next one.

The editors of Estet-portal believe that following all our recommendations and procedures, spa manicure will become a familiar procedure. It will help you not only take care of your nails, but will fully relax.
