Cadaver course VIVACY MASTER-CLASS: what is this event

V.V.: Cadaver Course VIVACY MASTER-CLASS – this is an educational event dedicated to teaching cosmetologists the subtleties & nbsp; applied anatomy on "fresh", really revealing anatomical specimens.

The task of this event is to improve the knowledge of doctors in the field of anatomy so that they can subsequently apply it in their professional activities.

The event was attended by such well-known speakers as Dr. Benjamin Ascher, Dr. Sophie Converse, Dr. Cecile Winter, Dr. Philippe Kestemont, Dr. Julia Gotlib, Dr. Denis Couchourel.

Of course, the cadaver course is designed for specialists with higher medical education, that is, those who already have a certain level of theoretical training.

Why do we need a Cadaver course if cosmetologists studied anatomy at the university

В.В.: Of course, all students of medical universities meet with cadavers at the department of anatomy even in their junior years. But, unfortunately, such training is not always informative, and the condition of most university cadets simply does not allow one to understand all the subtleties that are necessary in medical practice.

Students do not study the differences in the volume of subcutaneous adipose tissue in different anatomical areas, do not study the features of its accumulation and structure, do not study the location of "dangerous anatomical zones"; and so on. But this is all very important!

And the goal of the cadaver course is to provide doctors with new knowledge in the field of anatomy that is really applicable to the modern injection techniques used.

I believe that for any specialist working in the field of aesthetic medicine, attending a cadaver course is not just useful – but also extremely necessary.

How was the training of specialists at the Cadaver event

V.V.: The VIVACY MASTER-CLASS cadaver course took place on the basis of the French School of Surgery and Anatomy «Fer à Moulin".

The event consisted of two parts: theoretical and practical. The purpose of the theoretical part of the cadaver course – to remind doctors of the fundamentals of the structure of the main anatomical zones of the face.

In turn, the practical part also consisted of two stages. At the first stage of the practical part of the cadaver course, the speakers talked about the modern understanding of the anatomical structure of certain areas of the face, which is applicable to existing cosmetic procedures.

It is very important for a cosmetologist to understand, for example, why a needle is used in some cases, and in others – cannula, what could be the consequences of intravascular administration of the drug, and so on.

The second stage of the practical part of the cadaver course provided the guests of the event with the opportunity to work out the already acquired theoretical knowledge in practice: to get acquainted with the anatomical structures of the face, to look and feel different tissues, and even to introduce dyes that simulate cosmetic preparations into them.

What level of specialist training is the event designed for

В.В: I believe that every specialist should visit the cadaver course, regardless of their level of training: both for a beginner and an experienced professional.

It makes sense to go to a cadaver course even for a doctor who is just starting to think about studying in the field of aesthetic medicine.

I would like to bring some parallel with fishing. When a person who is not interested in this type of activity first comes fishing, what does he see? That's right: water in the lake. And what does an experienced fisherman see on the same fishing trip? He sees the relief of the bottom, the arrangement of stones and shells, sand and clay, the cliff of the coast and the fish in the water.

Topographic anatomy of the face: the ABC of injection cosmetology

Similarly, the cosmetologist: piercing the patient's skin during the injection procedure, he must "see" bones, nerves, blood vessels, he must clearly understand where he injects the drug and what happens next.

When piercing the patient's skin during an injection procedure, the beautician must "see" bones, nerves, blood vessels, he must clearly understand where he injects the drug and what happens next.

But, believe me, without a good educational visualization, imagine all this – very, very difficult. You can study anatomical atlases for a long time, you can look at pictures in a textbook for a long time – but when on a cadaver course you have the opportunity to feel all those tissues yourself, inject the drug into them and, finally, understand where it goes and how it is distributed – this is real learning!

Real needles, real cannulas, real cadavers – I believe that the cadaver course provides indispensable knowledge that every cosmetologist needs. And I am grateful for the opportunity given by New Line Clinic to attend this event.
