Asahi massage (tsoghan) is considered a miraculous anti-aging remedy that gives an effect after the first sessions. Its main advantage is simplicity and the possibility of use at any age. The whole procedure takes less than five minutes, and the result is amazing: puffiness under the eyes decreases, the second chin disappears, the skin looks younger.
The author of this massage, which has received worldwide recognition, was the famous cosmetologist and makeup artist Yukuko Tanaka. Working with many stars, she wanted to find a technique that would allow her to look younger without the use of makeup. Such was the asahi facial massage, which includes manual therapy techniques, and also affects the lymph nodes, which helps to eliminate toxins and improve tissue nutrition.
Japanese massage is able to erase the age from the face
Unlike the classic facial massage, which is characterized by light circular movements over the skin, Japanese is different in that it is performed deeply, under great pressure, with all the fingers of both hands. This helps to relax the muscles of the face, has a beneficial effect on blood vessels and skin, and most importantly — prevent wrinkles.
Japanese asahi massage technique includes:
- lymphatic massage that cleanses the body of toxins, removes excess fluid and regulates the process of tissue nutrition;
- deep study of facial tissues using manual therapy methods aimed at relaxing muscles, improving the condition of blood vessels and tightening.
Massage should be done only on cleansed facial skin, using special cosmetic cream or milk (fingers should easily glide over the skin). All stroking movements must be performed along the lymph flow (from the periphery to the center). Massage the area near the lymph nodes, but not the nodes themselves. The procedure should be completed with gentle stroking along the lateral contours of the face.
Contraindications for massage:
— inflammatory processes and various skin diseases;
— pathology of the lymphatic system;
— weakness and feeling unwell;
— menstruation (may increase bleeding significantly);
— ENT diseases;
— thin face with sunken cheeks (lifting effect is accompanied by face slimming).
How to smooth out wrinkles with one hand movement
Massage can be performed both standing and sitting. The main thing is to observe the correct posture and make sure that the muscles of the face are as relaxed as possible.
Smoothing the nasolabial folds. Raise the palms to the level of the cheeks and turn them to the side surfaces of the face. Hold them in this position for 30 seconds, trying to feel warm. Place your hands on your face so that your index fingers lie on the parotid lymph nodes. The palms are straight, and the thumbs — turned to the back. Lower your hands, working with your fingertips towards the cervical superficial lymph nodes, and then — to jugular. Once the pads of the fingers are on the protrusions of the collarbones, finish.
Remove nasolabial folds. Place the pads of the middle fingers in the areas between the cheeks and the wings of the nose. Lower them so that the fingers go around the nose, then move in the opposite direction. Perform three–five such movements.
Reduce puffiness under the eyes. Place the pads of the ring and middle fingers place in the area under the eyes. Press on the skin and move down to the nasolabial folds. Release the pressure and come back. Repeat twice.
Strengthening the middle third of the face and cheeks. With the pads of the index and middle fingers
perform a pushing motion from the wings of the nose to the parotid lymph nodes. Move the upper phalanges of these fingers to the superficial cervical lymph nodes. With the tips of the ring and middle fingers, without intense pressure, direct to the jugular nodes.
Strengthening the cheeks. This exercise should be performed alternately for each side of the face. The direction of movement of the fingers — from the beginning of the chewing muscle to the inner corner of the eye. Place the palm of the left hand under the lower jaw on the left side and fix the head in a straight position.
Press the pads of the index, middle and ring fingers firmly against the skin and move from the right chewing muscle to the inner corner of the right eye. Keeping pressure, hold the pads of your fingers near the eye and count to 3. Relax them and move to the parotid lymph nodes on the right side of the face.
Press the upper phalanges of the three fingers firmly against the skin and lower your hands, heading towards the cervical lymph nodes. Move the fingertips without pressure to the jugular lymph nodes.
Number of repetitions of the reception for each side of the face — 5–8.
