How to treat mastopathy: tactics of dealing with the disease

Как лечить мастопатию: тактика борьбы с недугом

Mastopathy refers to precancerous conditions and women who have such formations are at risk for oncological diseases. It is very easy to confuse fibrous nodes with a cancerous tumor. A positive result in the treatment of mastopathy is provided only with an independent examination of the mammary glands and contacting a specialist for examination and examination. Mastopathy is often the first step to cancer, if this problem is not eliminated in time.

The prognosis for effective treatment is favorable: a complete cure occurs, but only if the hormonal background is normalized, proper nutrition and exercise are used. After all, it is not for nothing that many classics of the pen argue that the movement – that's life. So, how to treat mastopathy and how this disease is detected, read in this article.

Features of fibrocystic mastopathy

Mastopathy is a benign formation characterized by the growth of the alveoli of the mammary gland, ducts or connective tissue. Nodules of various types appear in the chest cavity (one or two): fibrous – dense, glandular – soft, cystic – fluid formations. These types are classified as a diffuse type of mastopathy.

There is also a nodular type of fibrocystic disease, in which not multiple nodules are formed, but one large neoplasm. Treatment of the nodular appearance is carried out only surgically and requires a thorough examination and preparation for surgery. Nodular mastopathy is much less common.

Causes and symptoms of mastopathy

The main reason for the formation of cysts in the mammary glands of a woman – hormonal disruptions that are very difficult to control. In addition, provocateurs for the development of mastopathy can be:

  • early abortion, late pregnancy, difficult delivery;
  • refusal to breastfeed or improper weaning;
  • heredity;
  • stress situations – frequent and permanent, related to household duties or work, marital status and others;
  • irregular sexual relations, excess of sex;
  • the presence of problems with the excretory system, diseases of the reproductive system, problems with the gastrointestinal tract;
  • dysfunction of the thyroid gland or other endocrine glands;
  • metabolic syndrome, diabetes mellitus and other endocrine disorders;
  • liver and gallbladder dysfunction.

You can't do without pain during the development of mastopathy, you should not ignore discomfort during sex, the menstrual cycle, especially in the last phase.

Fibrocystic disease symptoms:

  • breast distention;
  • soreness;
  • the presence of seals near the chest, in the armpits;
  • discharge from nipples (white or bloody);
  • pain in the stomach, intestines;
  • flatulence;
  • headaches, constant nausea;
  • swelling of limbs or face;
  • depression, weakness;
  • lack of sexual desire.

This is not the whole list of symptoms manifested in mastopathy. Each individual case suggests the presence of other indicators of the disease, which often leads astray during examination and examination. The success of identifying the disease depends only on the woman herself. After 20 years, especially 30 years, and definitely after the age of 40, women need to visit a gynecologist and endocrinologist, do a mammogram once a year.

And also every week you should independently examine your body in front of a mirror and feel your chest for nodules. Often, pain and discomfort occur during palpation of the seal, this is already a good reason to contact a mammologist.

Diagnosis of diffuse and nodular mastopathy

First of all, a woman examines her breasts on her own and consults a doctor in case of any abnormalities. Further, the specialist also examines the mammary glands and lymph nodes (axillary, subclavian, cervical). In addition, other more detailed diagnostic methods are assigned:

  • Breast ultrasound, lymph node ultrasound;
  • mammography (X-ray examination of the mammary glands);
  • blood tests, including biochemical studies, blood for hormones, tumor markers;
  • puncture and cytology, biopsy.

Only based on the results obtained, the doctor can make the correct diagnosis and prescribe treatment.

How to treat mastopathy: the choice of tactics of struggle

Only a doctor can properly approach each woman and develop a specific tactic to combat mastopathy. The specialist will tell you how to treat mastopathy, what rules to follow (eat right, not strain the nervous system, lead an active lifestyle and not get hung up on the problem) and describe in detail the algorithm of action. Naturally, the diagnosis of fibrocystic disease is frightening, but you should not worry in vain, you should clearly develop an idea of how to treat mastopathy correctly and consistently.

To begin with, drug treatment is used, for which today there are a lot of drugs: hormonal, homeopathic, herbal remedies.

The treatment regimen for mastopathy depends on the initial factor that provoked the onset of the disease.

Of course, where does the treatment of fibrocystic disease begin – this is the elimination of the cause, that is, the normalization of the liver, stomach, intestines, endocrine glands. Adjusting the hormonal background requires a long implementation of the doctors' prescriptions for the success of the procedure for getting rid of problems with the mammary glands. In some cases, drugs are prescribed to increase immunity, liver and kidney function. In other – they prescribe herbal remedies to normalize the hormonal background, the work of the endocrine system.

In addition, it is recommended to use homeopathic medicines to reduce cysts in the mammary glands and prevent cell division (so that the nodule stops growing). If the problem with hormones cannot be solved by conservative methods, hormone therapy has to be resorted to.

In the absence of a positive result of treatment with all non-surgical methods, surgical intervention is prescribed to remove the cyst. Deletion occurs in two ways:

  1. with the help of a puncture, the liquid is sucked out, after which the bubble resolves itself:
  2. removal of fibroids completely.

The operation refers to simple types, occurs under the influence of a local anesthetic. The patient is discharged the same day from the hospital. The only thing that can remind you of this disease for a long time – a scar on the chest, which most often remains.
