Ботулотоксин и коллаген в одной процедуре: результаты применения в эстетической медицине

In practice, aesthetic doctors often resort to combined protocols of injection procedures in order to get the maximum effect at the minimum time. So, good results can be obtained due to skin bioregeneration with type I collagen and botulinum therapy. Andrea Corbo – professor, dermatologist, cosmetologist, teacher of dermatology and aesthetic medicine at the University of Camerino (Italy) in the article estet-portal.com talks about the procedure for introducing botulinum toxin and type I heterologous collagen Linerase from the official distributor DMK Ukraine, which simultaneously improves the condition of the skin and smoothes fine wrinkles.

Possibilities of skin bioregeneration with Linerase type I collagen

Bioregeneration – a new word in skin rejuvenation. The basis of this approach is the bioregenerating effect of type I heterologous collagen on tissues. This active ingredient has been used in medicine for over 30 years, it is characterized by:

  • high security profile;
  • well tolerated by patients;
  • clinical efficacy;
  • absence of complications and adverse reactions.
Collagen acts as a growth factor on fibroblasts, maintaining their viability and the rich cellular composition of the dermis.

In recent years, type I collagen has become available for intradermal administration. The uniqueness of its action, unlike other well-known skin biostimulants, lies in the fact that collagen not only stimulates fibroblast anabolism, but also acts on them as a growth factor. Due to this, the viability of fibroblasts is maintained and the impoverishment of the cellular composition of the dermis is prevented. As a result, a significant increase in skin density is observed.

Absolute non-toxicity and the mechanism of action of collagen allow the use of this substance in combination with the microbotox procedure – another therapy recently added to the arsenal of cosmetologists.

Rejuvenating effect of the microbotox procedure

Microbotox involves the superficial injection of small doses of botulinum toxin into the skin.

The effect of rejuvenation, which is achieved through microinjections of botulinum toxin, is due to various types of therapeutic effects of this substance:

  • relaxation of superficial fibers of mimic muscles;
  • regulation of sebum secretion;
  • increased tone of small vessels;
  • pore narrowing;
  • stimulation of fibroblast activity, etc.

Protocol and Benefits of Combining Botulinum Toxin and Type I Collagen in One Treatment

Today, a scientific and clinical study of the combination of botulinum toxin and type I collagen in one procedure is being carried out for the treatment of chrono- and photoaging of various degrees.

The procedure involves the connection in a 5 ml syringe  24 units of Botox (or 42 units of Dysport) + 100 mg of collagen (Linerase).

The resulting solution is injected intradermally into the face, neck and décolleté area using the mesotherapy technique.

For 1 injection, 0.1 ml of solution is injected, the injection points are located at a distance of 2 cm from each other.

The course of procedures consists of 3 sessions, which are carried out with an interval of 3 months. In between sessions, patients are treated with intradermal collagen and hyaluronic acid.

Preliminary results of the study show that the combination of collagen and botulinum toxin is characterized by a high degree of patient and physician satisfaction.

The most pronounced effect is observed on fine wrinkles in the middle third of the face and neck. And in the decollete area, in addition to a general improvement in the condition of the skin, erythema from telangiectasia caused by actinic damage is effectively eliminated.

Thus, the combination of botulinum therapy and skin bioregeneration with Linerase collagen (official distributor – DMK Ukraine) – a promising method for correcting age-related changes in the skin by smoothing wrinkles and activating its own repair mechanisms.
