The property of the botulinum toxin molecule to block nerve transmission and relax muscle fibers has been widely used in anti-aging facial correction. Injections of Botox® and other cosmetic procedures: procedure
If contouring and Botox® injections are required, in one zone, first it is necessary to inject Botox®, and 14 days after the injection of this drug – insert fillers. This is because the onset of action of Botox® varies from patient to patient, with some on day 2 and some on day 10.
Therefore, the final assessment of the effect of Botox® is performed no earlier than on the 14th day after the administration of the drug, and only after that it is possible to perform contouring.
Hyaluronic acid-based fillers can be injected simultaneously with Botox® if different areas of the face are corrected ─ for example, Botox®; injected into the area of wrinkles between the eyebrows, and the lips are corrected with a filler.
If the same area will be treated (for example, periorbital), you must first enter the drug Botox®; and wait 2 weeks. It is after this period that it will be seen whether additional correction with fillers based on hyaluronic acid is needed.
