This is not true, because the drug is injected into the periosteum or subcutaneously, in these layers of our tissues there are no bone progenitor cells, so no growth of bone tissue is possible. When the drug first appeared, all the studies confirming its complete safety were not available to us. Sometimes they say – but our fellow dentists increase the volume of bone tissue with the help of calcium hydroxyapatite! Yes, that's right, but they inject the drug directly into the bone, where there are appropriate progenitor cells. The fundamental difference – in the mechanism of drug administration, therefore the result is different.

There are many other myths - for example, about the formation of dense fibrosis. But now there are studies that clearly explain what changes we get after the introduction of Radiesse. There is no pathological fibrosis, Radiesse stimulates safe neocollagenesis, that is, normal connective tissue. My task, speaking of myths, is to prove to doctors that the safety and efficacy of the drug is high, so that they can use it in their practice.
