For 30 years, experts from the University of East Anglia have been trying to find out how foods containing flavonols in their composition affect women's health. And here are some research results.

171,940 women, ranging in age from 25 to 55 years, were involved in the experiment on the use of products containing flavonols.

Summing up their 30 years of work, scientists concluded that drinks such as tea and citrus juices can reduce the risk of developing an ovarian tumor. The researchers noticed that those women who consumed fruits and drinks high in flavonols were the least at risk of developing ovarian cancer.

Scientists emphasize that drinking just a few cups of black tea a day can significantly reduce the risk of developing ovarian cancer.

The number of women suffering from this disease continues to grow. Ovarian cancer is the fifth most common cancer death in women.
