Here come the cold. The thermometer is increasingly showing marks below zero. Therefore, it is worth thinking about how to warm up properly. Of course, everyone has their own ways to keep warm. But are they all correct? We decided to collect for you the fastest, and most importantly – safe ways to keep warm during cold weather.

Rubbing

First tip on how you can keep someone warm. In principle, knowing this, you can ask someone to warm you. To do this, you need to hug a person and rub his back well in the area of \u200b\u200bthe shoulder blades. After that, you need to wrap the person in a warm blanket.

Of course, you can try to rub your back yourself, but this is unlikely to succeed. But the shoulders and neck can be rubbed on their own, while the hands will also warm up. After rubbing, be sure to wrap yourself up.

Most often, feet get cold in winter. In order to warm them, they can also be rubbed. Main – do not forget to take off your socks, and after rubbing put on chitsy. After all, the feet most often sweat because they are cold.

Also, to warm your feet, you can rub them with a warming cream or put mustard plasters in your socks. If you decide to put mustard plasters at home, then it is best to do this at night. You can also use this method when you have to stay in the cold for a long time.

Movement and warm-up

To keep your feet warm, you need to constantly stretch them. It is very easy to do this. First, stand on your toes, then on your heels, and then – alternately on each side.

Constant movement will help not to freeze, and if you are already cold – get warm. Remember that when you stand, your circulation slows down and you freeze accordingly. Especially do not stand on asphalt and concrete for a long time. Therefore, if you have to stand in one place for a long time in the cold, put cardboard or plywood under your feet.

There is a simple exercise that will help keep you warm. To do this, you just need to try to tighten all the muscles, count to five, and then relax. You need to repeat this exercise about 5-7 times.

There is also a good breathing exercise. You need to do it in the following way. Take 12 breaths/exhalations. Inhalations should be deep, and exhalations – short. Just don't overdo it or you'll get dizzy.

Water, wool and spices

Ideal for keeping warm and not catching a cold – is to steam your legs. To do this, you can use both a regular bath with hot water and a special – with various additives. It is good to use sea salt, honey and various herbs as additives.

Woolen clothes can help you warm up quickly. Also, in severe frosts, woolen scarves and gloves should be preferred.

And, of course, you can warm yourself from the inside. A good warming effect can be obtained from coffee and tea. The following spices enhance the effect of warming drinks:

  • ginger;
  • cinnamon;
  • pepper;
  • carnation;
  • cardamom.

Alcohol

The common myth that alcohol makes you warm is only partly true. Indeed, a small dose of alcohol can warm a person, but only when he is already warm.

But on the street after drinking alcohol, it has the opposite effect. Of course, immediately after taking a person feels the influx of heat, but the heat loss subsequently only increases. Accordingly, if after drinking, you remain on the street, then you will only freeze more.

And remember, in no case should you rub yourself with alcohol. And this applies to both a way to keep warm and a way to overcome a cold. You will only harm your body, because alcohol is immediately absorbed into the skin. And instead of helping the body to warm up or recover, you will simply arrange alcohol poisoning for yourself.
