Barack Obama
The main serial fan of world politics. His favorite series is The Wire, which is quite unusual for a head of state. After all, this whole show is built on a rather harsh criticism of social institutions. Also, the President of the United States is crazy about the political thriller "Motherland" and the TV show "House of Cards", which demonstrates the pernicious influence of power on people. And just a few months ago, at one of the state dinners hosted by French President Francois Hollande, Barack Obama bluntly asked the director of HBO for unaired episodes of Game of Thrones and True Detective to watch on his day off.

Moreover, the Clintons are avid fans of the Netflix online cinema and series in general. After Hillary resigned as US Secretary of State, she announced that she was going to rest and spend time with her family until 2016. Therefore, it can be very easy to imagine her sitting at home in front of a screen on which some smart serial drama is being broadcast. For example, "Orange is the New Black".

The Republican, Obama's main opponent in the 2012 US presidential election, prefers to watch Modern Family with his family. Moreover, the politician managed to use this fact during the election race: in this way, Romney emphasized his devotion to family values and closeness to his voters. It is also worth noting that in Modern Family, one of several main lines is the relationship of two gay men, Mitchell Pritchett and Cameron Tucker, who have adopted a Vietnamese baby. By doing so, Mitt can be said to have washed away the harsh intolerance towards gay people that is often attributed to Republicans. In general, serials can also be political weapons.

As a true conservative, Bush has publicly admitted that he is not a fan of television series. However, he added that he faithfully watches the documentary project "Biography", which has been airing on the A&E channel since the time of the dinosaurs - since the 60s.
