Training does not always give the desired result. Often the problem lies either in the illiterate preparation of the exercise program, or in the person's non-compliance with the basic recommendations. One of the most important factors that play a role in the effectiveness of training is time. Get the most out of your physical activity – start the process of losing weight, speed up metabolism and get a boost of energy – you can by choosing the right time to exercise.
What is the ideal time to exercise?
By conducting research, scientists have found that morning sports are the most effective for those who want to part with excess weight. Experts say that training on an empty stomach helps not only speed up the metabolism, but also become more resilient, build muscle mass and get an energy boost that will last until the end of the day.
Thus, it was found that from 2 am to 6 am, muscle activity reaches its peak. At about the same time, hand-eye coordination increases and lung function improves.
Back in 2010, scientists found that exercising before breakfast allows you to burn more calories throughout the day. And subsequent studies only confirmed this fact.
An experiment in which volunteers agreed to eat 30% more calories than usual showed that of the three groups, only the group that devoted time before breakfast to training managed to maintain their initial weight.
Members of the group who exercised after breakfast gained an average of 1.5 kg over 6 weeks. Volunteers who did not exercise at all during this time gained an average of 3 kg each.
Thus, if you have not yet decided on the ideal time for sports, know – it is best to exercise before the morning meal.
