It is known that most deodorants offered by manufacturers contain substances such as aluminum, polyethylene glycol, parabens, antimicrobial and petrochemical components that pose a threat to the health of the body. An alternative to such products are natural deodorants. Learn about the types of natural deodorants and how to choose an antiperspirant.
The choice of deodorant should be approached responsibly, because it is this remedy that is actively used by a person on a daily basis. At the same time, it is impossible to predict whether this or that remedy is right for you, because the reaction to deodorant is individual for each organism, as it interacts with bacteria.
The smell of sweat create bacteria that multiply in a humid environment and it directly depends on gender, nutrition, endocrine system and medications taken. It is through the regulation of nutrition and the treatment of certain diseases that it is possible to eliminate the unpleasant smell sweat. It is also possible to get rid of such a problem with the help of natural deodorants.
Natural deodorants must not contain:
Triclosan. This powerful antibacterial agent is able to neutralize “smelling” bacteria, and along with them, the beneficial protective microflora of the skin is killed. This component is prohibited for use in cosmetics in Europe and the USA;
Parabens. Used in cosmetics as a preservative. Able to provoke an allergic reaction, including suffocation;
Synthetic fragrances. This is – component of all deodorants that can be found in stores;
Aluminum and its derivatives are the main component of antiperspirants. Such a component harms the body by clogging the sweat glands, resulting in swelling;
alcohol. Often used as an ingredient in solid deodorants. It has a bactericidal effect, but dries the skin and causes irritation;
Propylene glycol. This component is used as an antibacterial. If ingested, it can cause liver and kidney dysfunction. In the US and Europe, this component is banned from use in the manufacture of cosmetics.
Instead of such harmful components, natural deodorants contain natural substances that replace chemicals and help to effectively combat the smell of sweat.
