Cellulite is a cosmetic problem that plagues many women. Getting rid of cellulite can sometimes be quite difficult. It is believed that losing weight can help get rid of the "orange peel", but experts say that the appearance of cellulite with weight loss can only increase.

Surgeon John Kitzmiller recently published an article describing his research on weight loss. To participate in the experiment, the specialist invited 29 women.

All participants actively lost weight in the hope of getting rid of cellulite under close expert supervision, eating exclusively fat-free foods. The researchers noted that in the case of losing an average of 14 kg, 17 women first showed cellulite, and 9 women observed its increase.

Participants who had the highest starting body mass index showed the best results. These patients managed to lose more weight than other subjects, with the changes being particularly noticeable in the thigh area. Women, whose BMI was lower, failed to show similar results in the initial period of the experiment, their hip volume practically did not decrease, and the cellulite in such participants became even more pronounced.

Women who managed to get rid of a large number of skin folds due to weight loss noticeably increased the manifestation of "orange peel". At the moment, modern medicine has not found a remedy that can completely get rid of cellulite, however, with the help of weight loss, it is possible to reduce its manifestation. It is known that 85% of women suffer from such a problem.
