Perhaps every woman wants to keep her youth and beauty as long as possible. But due to the busyness of modern women, they do not always, or rather, almost never manage to find time to visit the salon. But do not despair - turn to Mother Nature for help and use her generous gifts to prepare homemade anti-aging face masks.

Rejuvenating face masks are recommended for women over 30 with aging, depleted, chapped skin and, of course, in case of wrinkles.

When you should not use anti-aging face masks:

  • up to 30 years old;
  • in the presence of dermatitis;
  • in the presence of inflammatory processes on the skin, which lead to the appearance of ulcers and wounds;
  • in case of allergy to any ingredient of the mask;
  • when pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult your doctor before using masks.

How do I prepare my skin for a rejuvenating facial mask?

To ensure the effectiveness of the mask, you must first steam the skin of the face. To do this, you can use ordinary hot water, but a special herbal decoction will bring more benefit to the skin of the face.

To prepare such a decoction, a couple of pinches of dry string, mint, chamomile, nettle or tea rose must be poured with one liter of clean water and a container with this mixture placed on a steam bath. After the water boils, the broth must be left to steam for another 15 minutes, and then infused for 45 minutes. The cooled broth must be filtered and add another half-liter of boiling water to it.

Pour the resulting hot broth into a bowl, tilt your head over it and cover it with a towel. After 5 minutes, the steamed face, neck and décolleté must be blotted with a dry cloth.

Cleansing Facial Scrub

After steaming, the skin of the face must be cleaned. To do this, you can use a scrub of crushed oatmeal, filled with milk so that the resulting mass (by density) looks like a cream.

This scrub should be gently applied to the skin after steaming with your fingertips. In this case, the scrub should be rubbed lightly. After 5-7 minutes, the scrub must be washed off with water.

Now choose and prepare the mask you like best. And remember that it is enough to leave any of the following masks on your face for 20 minutes. Also, do not deprive attention of such important areas as the neck and décolleté - they need the same care as the skin of the face.

Clay face mask

Take two tablespoons of white clay powder and corn or olive oil. Mix these two ingredients. Use this mask several times a week to make your skin firmer and wrinkles disappear.

Gelatin face mask

To obtain such a mask, pour one tablespoon of gelatin with four tablespoons of boiled cold water. After 40 minutes, when the gelatin swells, it is necessary to warm it up. Use a steam bath for heating. To the heated mixture, add one tablespoon of milk and flour. The resulting mixture should resemble a cream in consistency.

Oatmeal Facial Mask

First you need to heat 1 teaspoon of honey for a couple. Take equal amounts of oatmeal and medium-fat milk yogurt, mix them together and add to honey. The mask is ready.

Starch face mask

To prepare this mask, you need to take two tablespoons of potato starch and dilute it with water. Your goal is to get a creamy substance. The protein of one chicken egg must be beaten and added to the diluted starch. In the resulting mixture, add the juice of one lemon.

Honey face mask

Preparing this mask is very simple. You just need to mix equal amounts of liquid honey and sour cream with a fat content of 15 - 20%.

Preparing the mask is only half the battle. The second half lies in its proper use:

  • It is not recommended to constantly use any substances with a rejuvenating effect. It is necessary to take breaks so that the skin does not have time to get used to such substances. It is best to use anti-aging masks a maximum of several times a week for several months, after which the skin needs to rest for about six months from the active components of the mask.
  • an even layer of the mask should cover the neck and décolleté, not just the face;
  • masks should be warm, preferably at room temperature;
  • to remove the mask, it is enough to wash your face with plain water or use a damp cotton pad for this.
