From birth, we all master the skill of diaphragmatic or, more simply, abdominal breathing, which with age is rebuilt to the chest. In women, this is due to the need to protect the fetus from being squeezed by the diaphragm. If replenishment in the family is not planned, it is worth switching to abdominal breathing. After all, the chest does not provide full ventilation of the lungs and, accordingly, does not allow saturating the cells with oxygen.

Diaphragmatic breathing brings the diaphragm — a powerful dome-shaped muscle separating the respiratory and abdominal cavities, — into movement, which contributes to the healing of the whole organism.

5 arguments for diaphragmatic breathing

Argument #1: Deep ventilation and lung clearance. Holding the breath in the pauses between exhalation and inhalation normalizes the ratio of carbon dioxide and oxygen in the blood. This contributes to the activation of metabolic processes and the breakdown of fats in adipocytes.
Argument No. 2. Massage of the organs of the abdominal cavity due to the movement of the diaphragm increases blood circulation and saturates with oxygen. This contributes to the combustion of fatty deposits on the walls of the peritoneum and abdominal organs.
Argument #3. Increased intestinal peristalsis. Normalization of the evacuation function of the intestines contributes to the evacuation of toxins and decay products from the body.

Argument #4. Normal lymphatic circulation due to lymphatic drainage.  Stabilization of the barrier function of the liver and excretory lungs and kidneys provides:

  • Deep detoxification of the body;
  • unhindered removal of cleavage products, toxins and toxic substances.

Argument No. 5. A natural decrease in the volume of the stomach if it is stretched.
An enlarged stomach stimulates the release of the hunger hormone — ghrelin. This causes excessive consumption of high-calorie foods.

After two or three weeks of diaphragmatic breathing, the stomach returns to normal size, and the feeling of unnatural hunger between meals disappears.

Breathing gymnastics "loves" empty stomach

The technique of diaphragmatic breathing is simple and does not require special energy  costs. Unlike physical exercise, breathing exercises do not stress the heart and muscles, and are also safe for older people.

Contraindications for diaphragmatic breathing:

  • pregnancy;
  • presence of a cyst in the ovary;
  • mobile stones in the kidneys and gallbladder.

Breathing exercises should be performed on an empty stomach: in the morning on an empty stomach or in the evening, 3 hours after the last meal.

When choosing a convenient class time for yourself, consider your well-being and mood, & nbsp; muscle tone and nervous system. But be sure to practice at the same time.

Do breathing exercises two to three times a week.

Increase the duration of the sessions gradually and do not study for more than 40 & mdash; 50 minutes. Master the simplest techniques first.

Take your time. Do the exercises at your own pace.

Rest between exercises.

Perform as many exercises as you can.
