From time immemorial, people have shared their feelings, emotions and thoughts with the help of facial expressions. This non-verbal way of communicating is deeply ingrained in our genes. However, what price do we pay for these skills?
Active facial expressions is one of the main causes of premature aging. The movements of the lips, eyebrows, corners of the eyes leave their imprints on the face. And only a competent specialist can help to hide them.
With its secrets of safe injection correction of the most mobile area of the face – area of the eyebrows, specialist in the field of plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, Dr. Patrick Trevidick shared with readers of estet-portal.com.
Eyebrow correction: anatomical features of the periorbital zone
The periorbital zone is considered one of the most difficult areas for aesthetic correction, due to the peculiarities of its anatomical structure.

Layered anatomy of the periorbital zone includes such formations as:
• leather;
• subcutaneous fat;
• circular muscle of the eye;
• deep fat compartment, which allows muscles to glide over the bone, and, as a result, the mobility of the eyebrows and facial expressions.
Why is it important to remember the deep fat pack? Since this compartment is fixed to the – motionless. This means that when the filler is injected into this area, you will get a lasting result.
Introducing a dermal filler into the area of the superficial fat pack in the periorbital zone is irrational, since under the influence of mimic activity the filler will move and gather into lumps.
When working in this zone, I prefer to use the Teosyal RHA1 filler provided by Academy of Scientific Beauty.
Features of safe correction of the eyebrow area
When a doctor works in the area of the eyebrows, his main fear – this is to injure superficially located vessels. However, a serious danger in the area of \u200b\u200bthe eyebrow – these are deeply located nerves: supraorbital and supratrochlear.
Therefore, in the eyebrow area, I recommend working with a cannula.
I use a 25G cannula for brow correction because the 27G and 30G are too long to feel the tip of the cannula.
I insert the cannula into a deep fat pad, and sliding over the bone, I begin to inject the filler retrograde or antegrade. If there are difficulties with advancing the cannula, then I give unequivocal preference to the antegrade technique, since in this case the filler plays the role of a lubricant and makes it easier to move the cannula.

Peculiarities of filler injection during correction of the eyebrow area
The area where dermal filler is injected during eyebrow correction is of interest to many specialists. How to make the result of contour plastic surgery as aesthetic and harmonious as possible?
In order to answer this question, I will give an example from plastic surgery. When I do mammoplasty, my task is – decide how to place a breast implant. If you place it below the nipple-areolar complex – then the nipple will rise up. The same goes for the brow: in order to lift it, the dermal filler should be injected under the brow.
Choice of dermal filler for eyebrow correction
For the brow area, I prefer less dense fillers such as Teosyal PureSense Redensity I and Teosyal RHA 1 from "Academy of Scientific Beauty".
Teosyal PureSense Redensity I is more suitable for working in the periorbital zone, as it allows not only contouring, but also biorevitalization of the skin.
Teosyal RHA 1 I use to correct the brow area. In this case, I introduce no more than 0.5 ml of the drug. It is better to inject the filler laterally in order to raise the tip of the eyebrow more and get the most aesthetic result.
