Ключевые параметры филлера для аугментации вульвы от Татьяны Шевчук

Injection cosmetology gynecology (intimate injection cosmetology) – a branch of aesthetic medicine aimed at the aesthetic and functional correction of a woman's external genital organs and increasing her sexuality. Such procedures are less traumatic, comfortable and can be carried out even during the lunch break — "lunchtime procedure".

In the article estet-portal.com you can get acquainted in detail with the key aspects of choosing a drug for vulvar augmentation from Head of the Department of Gynecology GRACE, Candidate of Medical Sciences, gynecologist of the highest category, endocrinologist, operating surgeon in the field of aesthetic gynecology, anti-aging specialist, senior member of the European Society of Aesthetic Gynecology (ESAG) Tatiana Shevchuk.

What are the possibilities of modern cosmetology

T.Sh.: Women's intimate area – a unique area for the use of fillers, because only here they realize their full potential.

So, in the field of aesthetic gynecology, it is possible to use fillers not only for traditional contouring and aesthetic correction (for example, with vulvar augmentation and scar correction), but also to increase women's sexuality, which is reflected in the harmonization of relationships in a couple.

Fillers can be used to perform a non-surgical vaginal facelift procedure or to increase the sensitivity of erogenous zones: for example, in clitoral, G-SHOT procedure, vestibulum and introitus augmentation.

Vulva augmentation with hyaluronic acid preparation

Vulva augmentation – cosmetic procedure, which consists in the introduction of fillers into the tissues of the vulva (intra-, subdermally) for the purpose of volumization, lifting or remodeling.

Indications for vulvar augmentation include (according to ICD-10):

•    atrophy of the vulva (N90.5);

•    other non-inflammatory diseases of the vulva and perineum (N90);

•    other congenital malformations of the vulva (Q52.7);

•    dyspareunia (N94.1).

Anatomical plane of filler injection — adipose body of the labia (corpus adiposum labii majori).

In my practice for vulvar augmentation I use 25-30 G1" needles or 20-22-25 G 30-50-80mm cannulas.

The 3 most common injection techniques are:

1.    linear-retrograde (the needle is inserted into the skin at an angle of 45°, in the process of removing the needle (retrograde) intra-, subdermally, the drug is injected parallel to the surface of the dermis);

2.    "fan" (the drug is injected linearly in the direction from the injection point along rays diverging to the sides);

3.    bolus (point injection; used, as a rule, for sensitization of erogenous zones).

What parameters to consider when choosing a drug for vulvar augmentation

T.Sh.: When choosing a filler for augmentation, in particular the vulva, one should take into account its characteristics:

•    concentration of the main component – sodium hyaluronate;

•    reticulating agent;

•    auxiliary components (for example, antioxidants);

•    microorganism-producer of hyaluronic acid;

•    producer solvent.

A very important point, especially for work in the intimate areas of a woman, is the safety of the drug, which is largely determined by relatively "toxic" drugs. components of any hyaluronic filler – reticulating agent, residual components of the microorganism-producer and its solvent.

Most modern fillers use BDDE and DVS as reticulating agents (see table).
Given their relative toxicity and, due to the latter, the potential negative effect on surrounding tissues (allergic and inflammatory reactions, granulation, encapsulation, reduction aesthetic effect), manufacturers are trying to reduce their content in products for injectable cosmetology.

However, a decrease in the content of reticulating agents negatively affects the duration of the effect and the volumizing ability of fillers.
