Параллельная техника постановки подтягивающих мезонитей: долгосрочный результат без хирургического вмешательства

Mesothreads, which are used for threadlifting of the face, provide good, but short-term results.

Dr. Jean-Paul Foumentèze believes that the thread lift procedure is underestimated by both patients and many doctors.

This article estet-portal.com describes parallel techniques for placing permanent tightening mesothreads with notches.

The procedure provides results comparable to a surgical facelift and has a number of advantages.

Which threads are installed using the parallel technique

Mesothreads that can provide a result comparable to a surgical lift must meet the following requirements:

  1. Good tissue fixation.

This requires a sufficient number of notches or cones located close enough to each other. This ensures the accuracy and efficiency of the correction.

Dr. Fumantez uses mesonite cones for setting in parallel technique, which fix tissues well even during stress.

The special rounded tip of the fixing elements does not injure tissues and does not cause pain to the patient.

The threads are 1.5 mm apart with 800 notches made of durable medical grade silicone.

Groups of four 45-degree multi-directional cones provide eight-axis fixation.

  1. Ability to withstand high tension.

The threads that the author installs in the technique described can withstand stresses up to 22 Newtons.

  1. Sufficient degree of flexibility

To mimic facial movements, but not stretch over time.

Absorbable threads do not have these characteristics, so Dr. Fumantez prefers to use non-absorbable (permanent) mesothreads, which stimulate the production of a small amount of scar collagen.

After insertion of such threads, repeated procedures are not required, they can be easily removed even several years after implantationand.

The described minimally invasive procedure is effective, provides long lasting and at the same time reversible results.

Description of the parallel technique for placing pull-up mesothreads

Parallel technique provides for the installation of three permanent mesothreads with bidirectional notches on each side of the face and one – on each side of the neck (total 6 threads for the face and 2 – for the neck).

Entry points for threads are always located in the temporal zone (marked in black in Fig. 1).

This provides greater thread tension without wrinkling or furrowing, as well as the ability to work with the upper third of the face.

Parallel technique involves placing three permanent mesothreads on each side of the face and one thread on each side of the neck (6 threads in total for the face and 2 for the neck).

Half of each of the three threads is inserted through the entry point in the direction of the calvarium under the scalp and cut flush at the extraction point without sutures.

At the level of the temples, the threads are inserted deeply, along the border with the SMAS.

Each thread has a separate entry and exit point, their notches are directed downwards. Their task – resist sagging due to gravity.

The second half of the threads are inserted in the direction of the base of the face according to the scheme drawn up by the doctor during the consultation, taking into account the necessary vectors.

The standard scheme is shown in Fig. 1. The upward notches provide tension for sagging facial tissues.

If necessary, neck correction another mesothread is used. Its entry point is located at the level of the mastoid process.

The parallel mesothread technique is non-surgical. The scalpel is not used during the procedure.

The author uses blunt 19 cm needles for implantation of threads. There are no noticeable scars after threadlifting using the described technique. Results and Benefits of Parallel Threadlifting Technique

Parallel mesothread technique, provided the correct choice of threads, provides results comparable to the lifting of the middle third of the face and neck.

Technology Benefits:

natural appearance due to the reposition of sagging tissues;
  • long-term result (no visible changes observed over 3 years);
  • quick procedure (stranding takes less than an hour);
  • patient comfort;
  • no ecchymosis or bruising;
  • possibility to resume social activity 3–8 days after threadlift;
  • no restrictions in the recovery period (you can visit the sauna, sleep in any position, engage in all sports except extreme);
  • short-term discomfort after the procedure (only a couple of days, relieved with painkillers);
  • minor swelling after the procedure disappears within a week;
  • possibility to extract threads even years after setting;
  • eye area rejuvenation effect.

Threadlifting: a minimally invasive non-surgical method of facelift

Restrictions

procedures:

correctable zones (today only the face and neck can be corrected);
  • excessive sagging of the skin (if resection of more than 1 cm of skin is required, the patient is indicated for surgical lifting);
  • excessive number or depth of wrinkles (in this case, a chemical peel or laser skin resurfacing is required before the thread lifting).
  • Perhaps in years, as tissues sag in other areas, an additional thread will be required. However, the need to delete earlier  implanted products will not.
