A smooth, lifted forehead with high eyebrows and an open look without overhanging eyelids are always associated with youth and health, so forehead lift plastic surgery is considered first of all when it comes to anti-aging correction of the patient's appearance. Forehead and brow lift can be performed in various ways – both open and endoscopic, as well as combined with other procedures to achieve the desired effect. The correction technique is chosen by the doctor depending on the age of the patient, the condition of his skin and the planned result.
Who needs a forehead lift and what is the effect of this operation
Forehead and brow lift refers to plastic surgery that corrects the area of the upper third of the face. Usually such operations are performed on patients over 30 years of age, since this area of the face ages first, especially if there is a predisposition to overhanging eyebrows and upper eyelids, to early deep wrinkles on the forehead and around the corners of the eyes.
Forehead lift can solve the following problems, which significantly add to the age of the patient:

Forehead lift methods and expected results
Techniques used for forehead lift are divided into two groups – open surgery and endoscopic lifting.
Classic open forehead lift is performed with a deep incision and detachment of soft tissues.
One method involves an incision approximately 7 cm deep from the hairline. The incision is made from the upper edge of one ear to the other, soft tissues are exfoliated, stretched and fixed on the bones, excess tissues, including fatty ones, are excised. Another method – similar, but the incision is made almost along the hairline.
The advantages of this method, according to plastic surgeons, are that the tissues are perfectly straightened and fixed, and the surgeon clearly sees all the nuances of the tissues that are tightened, and can also control the passage of blood vessels and nerve endings, which helps to avoid complications. The disadvantages are hair loss along the incision line (usually hair growth is restored soon), the presence of a scar (in case of age-related hair thinning or baldness in men, this becomes a serious aesthetic disadvantage), as well as a long rehabilitation period.
Endoscopic lifting involves making several incisions about one and a half centimeters long, located slightly above the hairline. Lifting of soft tissues and their fixation occurs according to methods similar to open lifting, but under the control of video equipment. The advantages of this technique – in the absence of large visible scars and a short rehabilitation period. The disadvantage may be damage to the nerve endings with insufficient qualifications of the surgeon.
