On November 1, the Fairmont Grand Hotel hosted the sixth conference "Portrait of a Difficult Patient", organized by a doctor of the highest category, dermatovenereologist, scientific coordinator of the company "Academy of Scientific Beauty", an international speaker of Teoxane, a member of the Scientific Committee of Euromedicom congresses and a member of EADV (Ukraine) Vladlena Averina. The theme of the sixth cycle of the conference, like the previous time, was chosen as "Charisma and Sales Techniques", since it was precisely this topic that interested the participants of the event in particular. About how the selection of speakers for the conference was carried out, and what participants will be able to learn about at the 7th cycle of the "Portrait of a Difficult Patient" – read on estet-portal.com in an exclusive interview with Vladlena Averina.
What criteria did you use to select speakers for the 6th conference "Portrait of a Difficult Patient"?
At this conference, all the speakers are very charismatic and different. Someone is quieter, someone is louder, someone is more extravagant, and someone is more native, simple and understandable.
I hope that every doctor who participated in this conference has found for himself the path he can take and what is closest to him.
Today we talked about sales techniques, and perhaps the conference participants will learn how to do it as elegantly as the speakers do. If someone has learned something for themselves - of course, I will be glad.
Your report at the 6th conference "Portrait of a difficult patient" was dedicated to jewelry correction of the neck and décolleté zone. Why is the work in this zone considered jewelry?
Because working in this area is difficult to achieve an effect, and, accordingly, you need to work hard and for a long time. If we can inject a face, for example, in my case, if these are microboluses – literally 3-4 minutes, then in the neck area we work painstakingly, as if we are embroidering, and it looks like a piece of jewelry, so this is such a piece of jewelry work.
What is the most difficult for you in the correction of the neck and decollete?
You know, when you work with a finely wrinkled morphotype, the most difficult thing is to achieve a result in general. Because these are always very invasive techniques that require a long period of rehabilitation, and their effect, unfortunately, is short-lived. Therefore, work in the neck and décolleté area with a finely wrinkled type is very difficult.
Do you warn your patients that the result of neck and décolleté correction with a finely wrinkled morphotype may be short-lived?
Yes, depending on what we have, what morphotype and age of the patient - of course, I warn you and I explain everything. For example, after trichloroacetic peeling, the skin of the neck and décolleté will take longer to peel off than the face. The rehabilitation period after such peeling is 2-3 weeks, and the face is restored in 7-10 days. And the patient needs to be prepared, because he does not always remain social, the effect will last up to about a year, and then some kind of injectable restorative therapy is still needed. It is always difficult, you have to explain everything to the patient, and this usually takes the most time.
Are you planning to hold the 7th cycle of the Portrait of a Difficult Patient conference, and what topics would you like to cover?
I usually ask colleagues what they would be interested in. In addition, I am a practicing doctor myself.
If I have heard a topic that is interesting for me somewhere, I think it will be interesting for other doctors to know.
For example, how is the theme of this conference "Charisma or Sales Techniques" - for marketers, this is not new at all, but it is new for us, because we are not used to selling especially, and we do not know how which factors influence. Of course, the next event will be, and I doubt it, either to do it completely on lipofilling, or I wanted to mix psychology, a female approach, some female practices, and the very attitude towards a woman, the concept of beauty in the context of psychology. But I haven't decided yet.
Recall that the conference "Portrait of a Difficult Patient" will be held on February 21, 2018. Six conferences of the cycle have already taken place, and the seventh meeting is planned. The theme of the seventh conference is "The Power of a Woman" (Woman's power).
