Is it possible to compare biorevitalization and cream with hyaluronic acid

Until recently, it was believed that even if a product containing a lot of hyaluronic acid is applied to the skin, the efforts will be in vain, since the molecules of this valuable moisturizing ingredient are not able to penetrate the skin and cause the expected effect. In an effort to properly moisturize the skin, it is better to resort to injection methods of introducing hyaluronic acid – for example, biorevitalization. Does the cream with hyaluronic acid really penetrate anywhere, and what effect can the molecules of this substance have on the skin from the outside?

What can hyaluronic acid cream do and why does it work

Recall that hyaluronic acid can be low- and high-molecular. The composition of fillers and preparations for biorevitalization includes a high-molecular form of this ingredient. Of course, if you apply this drug on the skin of the face, then hyaluronic acid will not penetrate anywhere.

It used to be thought that including small molecules of hyaluronic acid in a cream doesn't make sense, as they won't moisturize much, except to retain some water in the stratum corneum. However, studies have shown that it is all about the number of such molecules. The composition of creams and serums today includes hyaluronic acid, consisting of small molecules or in combination with large ones.

A large number of small molecules of hyaluronic acid that retain water, together create a sponge effect, attracting moisture to the epidermis and dermis.

By creating a moisturizing effect on the surface of the skin, the cream with hyaluronic acid is simultaneously able to maintain moisture in the deep layers, where the drug was delivered by injection.

In addition, small molecules from the cream with hyaluronic acid, penetrating into the skin, give a signal to fibroblasts that it is necessary to begin the synthesis of a new, own hyaluronic acid.

Features of hyaluronic acid molecules in creams and their effectiveness

A hyaluronic acid cream may contain very tiny molecules of this ingredient – sodium hyaluronate. They allow you to perform the following cosmetic tasks:

act directly on fibroblast receptors, pointwise enhancing the synthesis of the body's own hyaluronic acid;
renew  life of injected
• fillers based on hyaluronic acid, providing them with additional nourishment.

So, for example, when a hyaluronic acid filler is injected into the lips and then a hyaluronic acid cream is applied, the effect of the procedure can be extended for at least a month. True, the same double procedure in the cheekbones will not give any effect, since in this area the filler is usually laid deep, and the cream with hyaluronic acid cannot affect it.

Of course, the cream with hyaluronic acid – not a panacea and can not always replace its injection. For example, in the area of ​​​​the formed nasolabial fold, such a cream is completely powerless, it will not be able to reduce it, much less remove it.

At an early stage of the formation of the nasolabial fold, try to fill it with a filler with hyaluronic acid, and then, quite possibly, the effect will remain for life, or you will need to maintain the result with repeated procedures once a year or two.

If, however, for facial skin in patients under the age of 40, creams with hyaluronic acid are regularly used in combination with salon procedures, then the effect of them will be quite comparable to biorevitalization, and sometimes it can even surpass it.
