Press therapy is a kind of lymphatic drainage massage, which is carried out at the expense of  impact on the body of compressed air waves. For the procedure, a special suit is used, where air is supplied in waves to the elastic pads, and due to the alternation of high and low pressure in the suit, mechanical stimulation of the skin and its deep layers, as well as muscles, affects the functioning of the lymphatic and blood vessels. Pressotherapy attracts those patients who want to lose weight and get rid of puffiness, but at the same time do not want to deal with injectable cosmetology and plastic surgery.

How is pressotherapy performed and how is weight loss achieved

The impact on the body during pressotherapy is carried out due to the peristaltic pressure on the body of compressed air and its variable fluctuations – from vacuum to barocompression. Due to such air waves, the lymph flow is stimulated, excess fluid and products of cellular metabolism, as well as decay products of adipose tissue, are displaced from the tissues. The result of this action is the elimination of edema, reduction of body fat, reduction of cellulite manifestations – all this leads to a reduction in the volume of the body, lifting the silhouette. At the same time, an active deep massage of different areas of the body is performed.

Pressotherapy recommended  to activate the lymph flow system, normalize the work of the venous bed, remove excess fluid from the body, enhance intracellular metabolism. It is used in the following cases:

  • restoration of skin tone after liposuction;
  • prevention of varicose veins;
  • cellulite treatment;
  • reduction of body volume;
  • relieve muscle tension;
  • elimination of edema, including after injuries and operations;
  • strengthening and tightening of the silhouette;
  • relieve chronic leg fatigue.

Pressotherapy is prescribed if it is impossible to carry out lymphatic drainage massage in other ways - mechanically, ultrasound or myostimulation.
