There are many problems in the modern world. Some of them do not change over time: as before, people get sick, grow old, die, lose organs, etc. However, there is a separate category of health and mental problems, the cause of which can be called the features of modern human life - sedentary lifestyle, spending a long time on phones, computers, TVs, mental disorders generated by social networks and computer games, etc. . The disease of technology is precisely one of the problems of our time.

Undoubtedly, technological progress significantly simplifies the life of mankind. We are already accustomed to spending most of our time on laptops, smartphones and other fashionable and interesting innovations in science and technology. But there is a person who is literally allergic to the modern world.

Peter Lloyd, a 42-year-old man from St Fagans (Cardiff), suffers from a rare and very debilitating disease – electromagnetic hypersensitivity.

A man cannot use a TV set, a mobile phone, or an – all this causes him a serious allergic reaction. His guests are forced to leave mobile phones and watches outside, and Peter cannot use electricity to light or heat the house, so he uses gas for these purposes.

Peter Lloyd can't leave the house because he might run into people holding mobile phones on the street or even be in a wifi zone.

The patient spends time reading books – he reads about 100 books a year, and when it gets dark outside, a man lights a candle. This is how he tries to coexist with his disease of technology.

Peter noticed his first symptoms at the age of 25, when a computer screen caused him to become mentally clouded and unable to think or speak. Then the patient had a telephone with a GSM network, which also caused him an allergic reaction.

Peter has since realized that he is being affected by various devices. The man has learned all about his disease and intends to move to a purpose-built wooden house away from civilization, so as not to experience the terrible headaches that he suffers from electromagnetic hypersensitivity.
