People with flat feet feel pain when walking for a long time, and in the case of a high degree of flat feet, pain can occur even when standing still. However, the problems do not end there. Due to the fact that the impulse from steps is not damped by the springy arch of the foot, it spreads up the skeleton. As a result, the entire load goes to the joints, the spine and the base of the skull.
Since the spine begins to perform a shock-absorbing function, it wears out faster and weakens. Running flat feet provokes the occurrence of deformities of the foot, a painful bone grows on the thumb. In order to avoid the development of such symptoms, flat feet should be prevented and treated at an early stage.
Prevention of flat feet: simple and effective
Walking barefoot. You should walk barefoot as often as possible on sand, pebbles, loose earth and just on the floor. Also an excellent way to prevent flat feet is walking on pebbles – you can collect pebbles of various sizes without sharp corners. Walk on the rocks every day for about 10-15 minutes.
Massage. To perform this procedure, you will need a regular kitchen rolling pin. Sit comfortably in a chair, trying not to slouch your back. Place the rolling pin on the floor, place both feet on it and roll it slowly. Thanks to massage, it is possible to improve blood circulation and restore the correct anatomical shape of the foot.
Exercise. In your free time, do exercises to prevent flat feet: you need to march in place for 15 minutes, and then march only on your toes for 5 minutes and 5 only on your heels. Observe your feelings – if pain occurs, the time should be reduced to 2-3 minutes. If you experience seizures, you should stop exercising immediately and consult a doctor.
Baths. For the prevention of flat feet, foot baths with chamomile extract and sea salt are used. To get a 2 in 1 procedure – put pebbles on the bottom of the basin – so you use both massage and bath.
Posture. Always try to keep your back and head straight – so the body weight will be properly distributed and the feet will not be overloaded.
Shoes. Proper shoes should be either on a three-centimeter stable wide heel, or flat, but thick and comfortable soles. It is important that the shoes are slightly loose and comfortable to wear.
Following these simple recommendations, it is possible not only to prevent flat feet, but to effectively treat the disease.
