Surgeons in Mumbai have removed 232 teeth from 17-year-old Ashik Gawai, according to BBC News.

The boy has a congenital defect of the teeth, and extra hard tissues have formed in his oral cavity for a long time, which caused a complex odontoma.

After a severe seven-hour operation, the teenager has 28 teeth left. At first, the doctors did not realize the complexity of the situation and decided that it would be an on-duty operation. But after they examined the oral cavity, they saw a huge amount of teeth.

To pull out the largest tooth, it had to be crushed with a drill, and the fragments that remained were removed. Two surgeons and two assistants took part in the operation. Thanks to them, the boy's appearance will not change - the doctors managed to save the entire structure of the jaw.
