The main purpose of drinks is to quench thirst. However, it is also known that certain drinks, such as green tea, bring additional benefits to the body, because they contain useful substances that in one way or another, but have a beneficial effect on a person’s condition and health. This time we decided to talk about various vegetable juices and the nature of their effects on the body.

First thing to note, – The benefits of vegetable juices are often underestimated. Many people prefer to drink exclusively fruit juices. Of course, they are also useful, but raw vegetable juices also have a number of benefits. So let's get started.

1. Tomato juice.

The vitamin composition of this juice is simply amazing: iron, copper, manganese, vitamin P, calcium and other trace elements. I would like to note that this type of juice is consumed before meals and is extremely useful for all people without exception, especially children and those who are inclined to be overweight.

About the quality. Quality tomato juice is not transparent. Ripe tomatoes are washed, cut and juice is squeezed out of them. At the same time, it is important that the tomatoes from which soy is made are not overripe, covered with mold, etc. Fresh juice after the pasteurization process is stored in a cool place. At the same time, the optimal storage temperature is 10 ° C, since this temperature allows you to save vitamin C.

2. Carrot juice.

The value of this juice lies in vitamin C, as well as B and PP vitamins, minerals and macronutrients. In addition, this juice contains potassium, phosphorus, iron, calcium, iodine, silicon and magnesium. Carrot juice is recommended for ulcers, gastritis, enteritis.

It should be noted that the maximum shelf life of carrot juice – 2 days (in the refrigerator). So make a small amount of juice and preferably drink it immediately.

3. Beet juice

The characteristic features of beetroot juice are its dietary and medicinal properties. Such juice also does not keep for a long time. To prepare beet juice, washed beets are cut and exposed to steam at a temperature of 105 ° C. After that, the skin is removed from the beets and the juice is squeezed out.

Citric, malic acid, mineral salts, vitamins and especially betaine make this juice very useful for children. Also, this juice can be used for hypertension, various heart diseases and for children who do not grow well.

4.Cabbage juice.

Cabbage contains the same amount of ascorbic acid as lemon. Only 200 grams of fresh cabbage make up the daily human need for vitamin C. It is worth noting that this vitamin is preserved in cabbage juice and sauerkraut, which cannot be said about boiled cabbage. Also, vitamins K, A and group B play an important role in human health. Cabbage juice can be combined with other vegetable and fruit purees to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers. Cabbage is also useful for people with diseases of the liver and biliary tract.

It can also be noted that red cabbage has a more diverse composition of nutrients than white cabbage.

To prepare cabbage juice, you need to remove a few top leaves and other contaminated parts of the cabbage, chop and squeeze the juice.

The beneficial properties of cabbage juice are preserved better if no sugar or salt is added to it. With such juice, do not carry out such manipulations as clarification, filtration or pasteurization at all. The shelf life of such juice – week (in the fridge).

5. Pumpkin juice

This juice is useful for bowel disease, constipation, kidney disease, cholecystitis, hepatitis. With long-term use, pumpkin juice is a diuretic.

The benefits of this juice are due to fiber, potassium, carotene, vitamins C, B1 and B2.
Pumpkin juice can be made more palatable by straining it and adding apple juice, a little citric acid and sugar syrup.

6. Watermelon juice

Watermelon juice is useful for people with diseases of the kidneys, biliary and urinary tract, problems with the cardiovascular system, gout.

The watermelon, cleaned from the ground, is thoroughly washed using a brush, after which it is cut into several parts. Watermelon pulp is selected with a spoon and rubbed through a sieve or otherwise, after which it is filtered.

Freshly squeezed watermelon juice is stored for a day, and boiled – longer.
We hope we've given enough reasons in favor of vegetable juices, and you will definitely include these super-healthy drinks in your diet.
