Girls' best friends are not diamonds at all, but cosmetologists who, with the help of modern means, can bring their appearance to the ideal. Especially with the help of laser procedures, which, while remaining the most popular, raise a lot of questions.

We asked the founder of the

The Gold Standard of Laser: Pre-Impulse

— Yana Sergeevna, today there are various types of lasers on the market of cosmetology services. How can a patient not be deceived by loud advertising and choose the one that will solve his problem?

— Laser equipment in cosmetology — a powerful tool for solving the aesthetic problems of human skin. We have been practicing working with various laser devices for more than ten years, but we prefer the “golden” one. standard — diode laser Lumenis LightSheer. This is a truly unique universal device that opens up endless possibilities for the work of laser cosmetologists.

The Lumenis laser provides an individual approach to each client. By setting the device to a certain mode, a laser hair removal specialist, for example, can work on any type of skin (I-IV, including tanned), process any hair structure (even fluff). In cosmetology, the same device is used to treat complex forms of acne, post-acne, scar healing.

Lumenis LightSheer (Coherent) is also used for superficial skin rejuvenation that resolves with minimal heat damage.

We use a neodymium laser with different dye filters to remove tattoos and tattoos, as well as blue vessels.

The Elos System perfectly removes fine hair. The same apparatus is used for skin rejuvenation, pigment spots highlighting, and removal of red blood vessels.
Of course, the patient can always determine with which laser equipment he would like to be treated. But we always recommend that you attend a free preliminary consultation, receive instructions and take a trial pulse.

— Are there any complications after these procedures?

— They can occur in any patient, if he has not previously consulted with a doctor. In addition, one should remember about the individual intolerance of the laser procedure, which no specialist can foresee.
To avoid this, we make a test pulse on the area that is supposed to be treated with a laser, and only after that we carry out the procedure.

Over the years of work, we have studied all the possible complications that may arise in such cases. These are burns, inflammation, redness. But they can be avoided.

— What should a patient remember before a laser session?

— He needs to limit sun exposure. The ideal season for the procedures will be autumn or winter, when there is no active sun.

— Are there any contraindications for these procedures?

— The main contraindication of any laser procedure is the presence of a fresh tan.
These procedures are not carried out on pregnant women, — the effect of laser on the intrauterine fetus has not yet been studied. But lactation is not a hindrance, and there are a lot of nursing mothers among our visitors.

Laser procedures prohibited:
• suffering from chronic, systemic dermatological diseases
• cancer patients
• children under 12.

For teenagers (most often high school graduates), laser hair removal sessions are performed in the presence of a parent.
Also, patients with diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and blood diseases should be treated with great caution to laser procedures.

Laser procedure is not only effective, but also cost-effective

— We often hear that laser procedures are not as effective as they are said to be, and many have to do them again.

— If we talk about removing unwanted hair, then laser hair removal — the best method of all. Any person who does not have hormonal disorders can be sure that after a full course of procedures, a stable, long-term result will be observed, and the hair will not grow again.

During the session, the pulses emitted by the laser are selectively absorbed by the pigment of the hair follicles (melanin) without damaging the skin. Coagulation and destruction of hair and bulbs occurs. Dozens of hair follicles are removed with a single laser pulse.

Laser hair removal is not only the most effective procedure, but also cost-effective: after a course of procedures, the patient will never have to remove hair again.

But, given that the hair is in different stages of growth, one procedure of laser hair removal is not enough. It is necessary to undergo a course of procedures, the number of which depends on the treated area, the structure and localization of the hair on the skin area. Therefore, repeated procedures are not just necessary, but mandatory for everyone who wants to have smooth skin. After completing the course, you do not need to visit the salon again. The exceptions are patients with hormonal imbalance, suffering from hirsutism and hypertrichosis. They will have to visit corrective procedures every one and a half to two years.

— How to distinguish a good laser from a bad one?

— Any laser device generates waves of light energy of a certain type, with the help of which the hair follicles are destroyed without damaging the skin. For laser hair removal, 10 — 60 W radiation is applicable.

The diode laser is semiconductor (if we talk about the type of active medium) and emits a near-infrared wave spectrum, thereby differing from light in spatial and temporal coherence.

• The wavelength of the diode laser is 810 nm, the pulse frequency — from 1 Hz, duration 5—30ms, 10—40J/cm² — the value of the energy flow on the treated area of the skin.
• This laser works best on dark, coarse hair.
The wavelength of the neodymium laser is 1064 nm, and the magnitude of the pulse — 100 ms.
• Most often it is used for hair removal for tanned patients or owners of dark skin.
During the neodymium laser hair removal procedure, thermomechanical damage to the hair occurs.
Waves 755 nm long and 5 Hz are generated by an alexandrite laser. Depending on the hair structure and skin type, it allows you to set the minimum length of the light pulse without losing energy.
• This laser does not work on all skin types.

We opted exclusively for a diode laser and were not mistaken. Tens of thousands of our customers confirm the success of procedures for the treatment of unwanted hair with this particular equipment.

In addition to the popular Lumenis laser, we offer treatments for sensitive clients on the Soprano Ice diode system. The session of laser hair removal is more comfortable, there is no need to use painkillers such as Emla. The sensation is comparable to a hot stone massage.

Over the years of my work in the beauty industry, I have heard many anecdotes and legends about laser hair removal that make me smile. Perhaps someday I will hang posters around the city “Laser hair removal does not harm the body!”, “Laser hair removal — not a painful procedure!”, “The laser does not irradiate!”, “The laser does not only remove dark hair!”. And it will be — pure truth.
