It is believed that during one sexual intercourse our body burns up to 300 calories. It is a myth. A group of researchers led by Krista Casazza calculated that with moderate physical activity, the average man weighing 70 kg spends about 210 kcal per hour in the process of arousal and orgasm – that is, only 3.5 kcal per minute!

If you multiply this by the average duration of sexual intercourse – 6 minutes – we get a funny figure – 21 kcal. Of course, this still significantly exceeds the energy consumption of 7 kilocalories that are consumed when a man watches TV. It turns out that the average energy "benefit" from one sexual contact is only 14 kcal. Although the ability to lose weight through sex seems doubtful, you can certainly get the most out of the process.
