Probably very few people can boast that they have never tried to go on a diet in their lives. At the same time, they usually explain their unwillingness to adjust their diet by the fact that they are absolutely satisfied with their own appearance in general and the parameters of the figure in particular. Among those who have tried to change their attitude to food, a small part are people to whom the diet was recommended by the attending physician – as an integral part of the treatment complex.

But most often we change our food preferences for the sake of reflection in the mirror: we want to see ourselves beautiful, and this concept certainly means slim and fit. Therefore, for many one day the decision comes – find for yourself some kind of diet that will help you quickly and effectively get rid of extra pounds. And so, the search begins, attempts, joy from victory over oneself, disappointment from bad results…

And now, you are again in front of the mirror, peering into your thinner reflection: suppose the diet was effective, and your figure became slimmer. But did it make your appearance more beautiful?

Why do we love diets?

If we put together at least a simple list of diets known today to lovers of quickly losing extra pounds, then the number of their names would boldly compete with the famous Homeric list of ships, which is impossible to read up to half.

Diets are different: fast and long, strict and sparing, Japanese and English, "colored" and "monochrome", fruits and vegetables, one drink and one product, and so on, on, on… Not even a few months pass without another message appearing on social networks about another effective method or method, thanks to which you can very quickly part with a certain amount of kilograms. And many of us hope for another panacea, promising a quick acquisition of a slender figure, which means – trying once again to limit their body in food.

The saddest thing is that almost all those who lose weight are well aware that the – it is stress for the body, that it is possible to deprive it of food only for medical reasons and under strict medical supervision, that it is impossible to stay on the chosen diet (especially if it is rigid or based on the consumption of a limited number of products) all your life, and with the return to the usual diet, they will return lost kilograms – and yet we persist in reading the new proposal "to lose weight quickly and effectively".

Perhaps we are attracted to diets by the promise of a quick effect. Probably – many people want to find harmony without much labor (indeed, what's so terrible about suffering for a week on kefir or apples). Absolutely exactly – everyone wants to become especially beautiful after a diet, causing the envy of others with slender forms.

But have you ever thought, once again going on a diet, what is its meaning? To lose weight? But no! The true purpose of diets – restoration of organ functions and metabolism in the body, based on the principles of proper food intake. It is "correct", and not leading to exhaustion. Weight loss in this case — nice bonus.

What does food give us?

The direct dependence of health on what enters our body with food has long been proven. We can safely say that we methodically “eat up” ourselves with health problems. For example, addiction to flour, in addition to problems with the figure, can lead to an exacerbation of allergic reactions. The love of salty foods threatens trouble with blood pressure. Regular consumption of smoked meats and hot spices can cause problems with hair and skin.

After a careful study of the list of recommendations and contraindications for food restrictions, it becomes clear that diets do not exist at all in order to reward everyone with a model appearance, but, first of all, in order to restore lost health and put metabolic processes in order. Therefore, only a doctor should choose a diet.

How to choose the right food?

Each properly composed diet should affect the body in a certain way, restoring the lost balance of the intake of the substances it needs and providing for current needs. It is clear that the qualitative composition of such diets should meet the requirements of a healthy body as much as possible. The ideal percentage of the necessary elements for it, on average, is approximately the following: 56% are carbohydrates, 30% fats and 14% proteins. In addition, when compiling a diet, the following factors are taken into account: the quantity, type and method of preparation of products, the age, gender and lifestyle of the patient, his diseases and the drugs taken in connection with this, and many other important points.

The main mandatory components of any diet — These are proteins and vitamins. They are necessary for the full functioning of all body systems. The minimum amount of protein required for an adult, — one gram per kilogram of weight, moreover, half the norm — animal protein. Adherents of vegetarianism should pay special attention to this.

Fresh berries, fruits and vegetables can fully satisfy our need for vitamins. If for some reason it is contraindicated to eat them raw, the doctor will select a vitamin complex.

Of course, the required amount of water that the patient must consume during the day – usually the calculation is based on the norm of 30 ml per 1 kg of body weight. The combination of water consumed with other fluids that are part of the diet is also important.

Beauty = food discipline!

A balanced set of products, their proper preparation, of course, are the main conditions for the effectiveness of the diet. But we must not forget about the diet! It's not just what you eat that matters, but when you do it. 4-6 meals a day, in small portions, are considered optimal. This system allows you to reduce the amount of food you eat without causing hunger pangs. Calorie intake in the evening should not exceed thirty percent of the daytime.

The way of eating also plays a significant role. When our grandmothers told us to chew our food thoroughly, they were absolutely right. Indeed, in addition to the fact that the process of digestion begins already in the mouth due to the enzymes contained in saliva, saturation in any case occurs after a certain amount of time – when the signal about the intake of food in the body enters the brain. Therefore, hastily swallowed food – even if it was provided by the diet – won't do any good.

Of course, changing the diet requires discipline and self-organization, but this will lead to an internal restructuring of the body, its regulation and self-purification, and health and beauty are worth the effort!
