Swedish scientists claim that teeth are directly related to memory. After conducting research, they were able to establish a connection between tooth extraction and memory. It turns out that every time a dentist removes a tooth, the patient's memory deteriorates. During the study, scientists interviewed 1962 participants aged 35-60 years. All participants noted that the more teeth they lost, the worse their memory became.
Study author Jan Bergdahl comments: "Each lost tooth costs us a piece of our memories. During extraction, the nerve endings that connect the tooth and the brain are torn".
In the future, scientists want to investigate the number of lost teeth that is safe for human memory. Also of interest is the impact on the memory of teeth affected by carious process, implants and prostheses. Therefore, before agreeing to the extraction of teeth, think twice.
