Что ожидает мужчину на приеме у косметолога

Recently, the number of men visiting beauty salons has increased significantly. According to recent studies, 35% of cosmetologists' clients are men.

"Men – is a category of clients that deserves special attention and approach," – considers Elena Stoyanova. Today she will tell you what a man can expect at a beautician's appointment.

lecturer of the section "Injectable methods" of the Department of Dermatovenereology of KMAPO What percentage of clients are men in your practice?
The percentage of men in my practice today equates to 30%, and this is a fairly high percentage of our style studio. I would like to immediately note that about half of these 30% – gay people,  40% – men over 45 years of age, and approximately 10% are young people suffering from acne.

For the sake of what procedure they come for the first time and what they agree to later. What criteria are used for this?

Initially, every man comes for a solution to a problem that worries him: seborrheic dermatitis, acne, or thinning hair. Only in the case of a successful solution of their "topical" concerns, male clients listen to other recommendations. Only by gaining the trust of such a client can one begin to offer what, in the opinion of the cosmetologist, will be useful.

What procedures have you never been able to persuade a representative of the stronger sex to?

I never persuade clients of both sexes to anything – this is my principle. I just explain what needs to be done in a given situation. Each client must think about the information received and only then make his choice.

Is it true that a man will not change masters. If they have established a trusting relationship with a specialist, will he remain faithful to this beautician?

Absolutely agree with this statement! It is very difficult to win the authority of a male client, but when this milestone is crossed, you get not just a client, but a real follower!

A man appreciates the professionalism of a specialist and the sterility of the service, you don’t need to lisp with him?

For me, there is no difference in the service of men and women. Both genders value professionalism, comfort level, results and pricing.

Will a man ever entrust hair removal to a master of the same gender?

I don't epilate myself. However, this problem does not arise in our clinic for one simple reason: only female specialists perform this procedure.

Does a man prefer cosmetics for his gender?

When choosing cosmetics, men are usually guided by advice. For them, it does not matter at all whether there is a special series for men in the cosmetic line. The main criterion in the case of men – so that the package states that the product will solve his problem.

Are men afraid of injections?

This is true, but this also applies to women. From my own experience, I can say that working with men is easier: firstly, they do not have high expectations. They are so afraid of the procedure itself that after its completion they are always satisfied. All subsequent procedures pass without complications and on time.

How do men get into a beauty salon?

I made this rating:

recommended by friends or lovers

for print advertising

on the advice of his wife
  • for online advertising
  • Is it true that a male client sometimes makes obscene proposals to a beautician during a service?
  • Everything depends only on the behavior of the specialist in the workplace. I believe that this is a matter of interests in life and ethics. Cosmetology has nothing to do with it!

You would agree to work in a beauty salon for men. Why?

I think so. Men, by their nature, are less demanding and easier to part with money for their appearance and health, they are punctual and constant, they value not only their own, but also the time of a beautician.
