What is innate beauty? Perception of beauty and harmony of appearance – it is a property of a person's genetic memory and a certain life experience. Usually we are talking about genetically inherited features of appearance, which we perceive as harmonious. For some, this harmony is given by nature, while others are ready to adjust their faces to suit fashion trends and public opinion - creating fashionable lips, cheekbones, chin, sometimes changing their face beyond recognition.
Thanks to developing beauty technologies, there are more and more beautiful people in the world who are trying to achieve absolute perfection and harmony of their appearance with the help of aesthetic cosmetology.
However, sometimes a doctor is faced with a situation of congenital pathology, when the face requires correction not only for aesthetic, but also for medical reasons. Estet-portal.com offers readers a description of the author's method for correcting congenital facial defects, which was developed by a dermatologist, a certified trainer in injection methods of international holing "FloSal" Andrey Vaganov-Dashkov individually for the patient and turned out to be very successful .
Clinical case
Patient N., 27 years old. The visit to the doctor in 2014 was associated with the presence of congenital pronounced asymmetry of the face, which significantly reduced the quality of life of the patient.
On examination, it was revealed: a congenital defect of the lower jaw - the third class of bite with a radial displacement, which led to a decrease in the upper lip by half of the physiological size and degradation of the nasolabial fat package, the result was a pronounced asymmetry.
From the patient's survey: when contacting the dentist, the patient was recommended an operation to correct the pathology, followed by a long rehabilitation. The woman was very frightened by the upcoming surgical intervention, so she was looking for a way to solve the problem of a facial defect using aesthetic procedures.
Treatment. In order to help the patient, the author's innovative method of injection correction of facial defects was developed. This technique included step-by-step modeling of the face, important aspects in it were:
- adaptation of tissues to new volumes,
- Save the result for a long period.
Scheme of application of the face modeling technique
Stage one (11/09/2014). Replenishment of the volume of the lips and alignment of the zygomatic arches to recreate the symmetry of the right and left sides of the face. For this, 6 ml of a monophasic filler based on hyaluronic acid was used.
Phase Two (21.12.2014). Completion of the nasolabial package on the left side, and the final chord of this stage is the formation of lips and cheekbones.
Third stage (18.07.2015). After the face analysis – moreover how successful and effective was the injection intervention – it was decided to use a long-acting biphasic filler - 1.2 ml. The purpose of the stage is to create the most natural, harmonious face and preserve the result as much as possible.
Discussion. Why was it impossible to continue modeling the face only with a monophasic preparation? Monophasic fillers have some drawbacks: they can give the effect of a swollen face and are not able to stay in the tissues for a long time. Thus, they would not give the intended result for facial modeling.
Results. Having achieved ideal results, from the point of view of both the patient and the doctor, the patient and I parted ways for a year. A year and four months later (02.11.2016) the patient came for an examination.
Inspection results: slight loss of filler volumes - approximately 15-20% of the replenished volume. The face looks more harmonious and symmetrical compared to the original appearance, and, most importantly, the patient's morale has improved significantly. She no longer experiences a complex because of her appearance and feels more confident, and from the point of view of a cosmetologist, there are prospects for her further beautification.
