To solve these problems, it is necessary to apply a peeling solution that could penetrate to a sufficient depth of the skin to realize a depigmenting effect and stimulate collagen and elastogenesis. A prerequisite for such a method of exposure is the painlessness and comfort of the procedure.

Which peeling solution, in your opinion, can effectively solve the problems of the intimate area?

In my practice, I use HAPPY intimate peeling (Skin Tech Pharma Group, Spain), which is represented on our market by

. It contains trichloroacetic acid (15% TCA) and phenol (3%). It was originally created as a peeling. The drug has the ability to penetrate to the basal layer of the epidermis, however, it can reach the Granz zone or the papillary dermis, depending on the number of layers and frost characteristics.

Is there any special preparation required for peeling intimate areas?

At the consultation stage, it is necessary to listen to the patient's complaints, collect a gynecological history and conduct an examination to identify indications for an intimate peeling procedure. It is also important to determine contraindications, which include an infectious process in the intimate area and skin maceration.

Intimate peeling does not require special preparation. It is necessary to shave the hair in the intimate area no later than 1 day before the procedure. We appoint the procedure no later than 10 days before the start of menstruation, and best of all - after it ends in the first half of the menstrual cycle.

The first step is disinfection of the anogenital area with an antiseptic that does not contain alcohol (chlorhexidine, decasan, etc.).The second step is graphic marking. We draw an imaginary vertical line along the center of the perineum and two vertical lines along the inguinal folds, as well as two horizontal lines through the middle of the labia majora and in the middle of the distance between the posterior commissure of the labia majora and the anus. The third step is to prepare the peeling solution and apply the first layer. We mix the peeling ingredients together to obtain 4.5 ml of a peeling solution containing 15% TCA and 3% phenol. We put disposable panties on the patient to cover the genital gap and protect the vaginal mucosa.

The fourth step is the application of the second layer. The second layer of the peeling solution is applied aimingly only on the pigmented areas with the help of two cotton buds until a continuous frost appears.The fifth step is to apply a special brightening cream to the entire area until it is completely absorbed. The post-treatment protocol includes only 2 points: avoid contact with water for 6 hours after the procedure and use a brightening cream twice a day for 2 months. The composition of the brightening cream includes kojic acid, arbutin, plant enzymes, vitamins.
