The effectiveness of the lipofilling operation depends on many factors, among which the correct calculation of the amount of adipose tissue required for further lipomodeling is very important. The question of where to get reconstructive material for subsequent transplantation, the doctor decides depending on the upcoming tasks. So, for example, for lipofilling of the hands or face correction, the amount of adipose tissue taken in the thigh area may be quite sufficient. If we are talking about breast liposculpture, then additional sources of adipose tissue may be needed, but here the situation is assessed individually, based on the constitution of the patient and the tasks set to increase breast volume.

Before starting liposuction - the procedure for taking fat for its subsequent processing and transplantation, marking of the areas from which the adipose tissue will be extracted is carried out - on the front and inner surfaces of the thighs, on the abdomen. The amount of adipose tissue that can be taken for the procedure is estimated superficially - an area approximately equal to the size of the palm, and volumetrically - in a layer no more than 5 mm deep. Otherwise, there is a risk of subsequently sagging skin at the site of adipose tissue sampling, and this is a bad result of the operation.

The amount of adipose tissue extracted for lipofilling should correlate with its quality - fat extraction should be done carefully, trying to keep the adipocytes intact as much as possible.
