A variety of body shaping techniques allows each patient to choose an individual way to get rid of local fat deposits. Cavitation is preferable in cases where the patient is not recommended for any reason to surgically solve the problem of fat traps, or he himself is more inclined to non-surgical liposuction. The procedure is not painful and short, does not require a difficult period of rehabilitation, but is effective only if the patient maintains a stable weight after it.

What is the essence of cavitation and indications for the procedure

Cavitation is a non-invasive hardware technique aimed at emulsifying and removing local accumulations of adipose tissue.  The principle of operation is based on the fact that under the directed influence of ultrasonic waves of low frequency (28-32 kHz), gas bubbles form in adipocytes. They gradually increase in size and rupture the membranes of adipocytes. At the same time, their contents are thrown into the intercellular spaces and excreted from the body by lymph flow, and the fat cells themselves fall off. Cells of other organs and tissues are not damaged in this case, since this frequency of ultrasonic waves is designed only for the thickness of the adipocyte cell membrane and is harmless to other cells.

The cavitation method for removing localized fat deposits is applicable to combat fat traps on the back, buttocks, thighs, knees, arms, lower abdomen, as well as in a comprehensive program to combat cellulite. Cavitation is recommended to correct imperfections after liposuction, to remove lipomas.

Cavitation is contraindicated:

  • pregnant and breastfeeding women;
  • for chronic diseases of the liver and kidneys;
  • for pathologies of the lymphatic system, varicose veins;
  • in cases of skin damage in places of suspected cavitation;
  • in the presence of a hernia, divergence of the abdominal muscles (if cavitation is expected in this area).

Cavitation, its advantages and features of rehabilitation

Non-surgical liposuction procedure is performed in several sessions – their number is determined individually depending on the needs of the patient. In one procedure, about 500 g of fat can be removed and a reduction in the volume of the problem area up to 5 cm is achieved.

The area of the proposed non-surgical liposuction is marked and processed with a special ultrasonic sensor. At the end of the session, lymphatic drainage is carried out in order to remove the decay products of fat cells from the body. The final result of cavitation can be assessed approximately one month after the completion of all scheduled sessions.

To prevent a possible inflammatory process in the tissues, a  Vitafon vibroacoustic impact device is used, which is capable of multiply increasing microcapillary blood flow and lymph flow in the affected area.

There are no subcutaneous injuries, scars or irregularities after cavitation, the skin does not change its sensitivity. But the patient should be warned that the effect of non-surgical liposuction is preserved only if during the course he follows a carbohydrate-free diet in combination with sports activities, and after it is able to maintain his weight stable.
