It is important to note that in order to work safely and obtain a good result, the practitioner must receive specific training to master insertion techniques, be able to calculate the amount of product required and understand the anatomical features of the target zone .
Chin area correction technique with dermal fillers
The patient has a rather massive mentalis muscle, as well as a deep labiomental fold. The lack of support from the bony structures of the chin led to hyperactivity of the mentalis muscle, followed by rotation of the chin and, as a result, a more masculine appearance.
Before the procedure the patient was not treated with a topical anesthetic, despite this, the correction was comfortable.
Using a cannula, the author injected 0.3 ml of Volux filler directly into the labiomental crease. Myomodulation with dermal fillers can be used either to increase the activity of muscle movements or to reduce it. When working with the labiomental fold, as a result of myomodulation, the activity of the muscle was suppressed, as a result, it was possible to reverse the rotation of the chin and give the lower lip a more attractive appearance.

Despite the fact that no topical anesthetic was applied to the target area before the correction, the procedure was comfortable for the patient.
The doctor then injected 1 ml of filler into the highest point of the chin to give it a softer and more feminine outline.
The author completed the procedure with a cannula injection of 0.7 ml of the drug into the soft tissues of the pogonion in order to create support for the front of the chin.
The use of a cannula for injecting the filler made it possible to increase the patient's comfort during the procedure, including by eliminating the need to create multiple punctures in the rather sensitive chin zone.
