Facial Aging – it is a physiological process that at some point starts in the body of each person. However, under the influence of many different factors, such a problem as premature aging can arise. In the modern world, the desire to preserve youth and beauty for as long as possible is absolutely natural for every person, which is why aesthetic medicine offers effective methods for correcting aging.

In an exclusive interview for estet-portal.com, PME medical cosmetologist, specialist  in   restorative cosmetology, author  method  functional aesthetic rehabilitation of the face and neck "Layer therapy" Reface Lightlift System Polina Lighter.

What is rehabilitation cosmetology?

Traditionally it is considered that rehabilitation cosmetology – This is a post-traumatic rehabilitation of the face and neck, which includes the elimination of cosmetic skin defects resulting from burns, injuries, acne, peelings, aesthetic surgeries and injections. Actually, it's not entirely accurate. The term "rehabilitation cosmetology" today, in my opinion, it is necessary to understand and consider much broader - both in terms of aesthetic correction of age-related and premature deformities of the face and neck, and in terms of complications after injection or surgical correction.

Tell us about your method of functional aesthetic rehabilitation of facial tissues  "Layer Reface Laitlift System": what is it used for?

The human body – it is a biosystem in constant motion. The point of violation or stoppage of movement is a damage at which the biosystem, due to the accumulation of compensations in different layers, goes into an "altered state". From the point of view of biomechanics, facial aging is an "altered state" in which there is a compensatory process of accumulation of damage in tissues.

In other words, it is a set of layered dysfunctions in the tissues of the face and body, which led to a change in the position and condition of the tissues (layers) of the face and body. Position dysfunction is everything that affects the normative physiological movement of the layers of the face: mimic patterns, bone changes, bite problems, orthopedic problems, injuries, postural patterns, diseases of the facial nerve (pathological synkinesis), diction disorder. State dysfunctions – this is all that leads to tissue damage (premature or biological): dysfunction of muscle tone (tissue tension), fibrosis (in the periosteum, at the points of attachment of muscles to bone in the papillary dermis, subcutaneous fat), tissue sclerosis, lymphostasis, edema, congestion, hypertrophy of adipose tissue, disorders of blood inflow and outflow.

Biomechanics – this is a branch of the natural sciences that studies, on the basis of models and methods of mechanics, the mechanical properties of living tissues, individual organs and systems, or the body as a whole, as well as the mechanical phenomena occurring in them. The object of study is the unhindered movement of the entire biosystem as a whole, the movement of individual parts systems relative to each other, deformation of the system, its position and equilibrium in space.

Functional aesthetic rehabilitation of facial tissues  "Layer Therapy Reface Laitlift System" – it is a layered combination of complementary techniques aimed at restoring movement as close as possible to the physiological movement stereotype in order to improve the condition of the tissues.

Everything in the body must move in a normative direction and along certain vectors. The function changes - the structure changes - the form changes.

What is premature aging of the face, when does it begin, and how does it manifest itself?

If you look at a face from the position of craniofacial architecture, that is, the structural biomechanical balance of the face and neck, then it will immediately become clear to you who, when and how quickly will age. Why? Because such early markers of premature facial aging as "bags" under the eyes, spreading nose, early manifestation of nasolabial and chin folds, changes in the volume, contours, proportions of the face, asymmetry, altered position of the head and shoulder girdle are not independent defects, but are the result of a number of dysfunctions in the layers of the face and body. including biomechanics. I call them   function blocks.

Every day I am approached by patients who begin, sooner or later, to notice aesthetic signs of changes in the face and neck that they do not like. Unfortunately, quite often their appeals are also associated with complications after invasive procedures or the lack of the promised aesthetic effect after the procedures. My first question always sounds like this: “what bothers you about your face?”. My explanation always starts like this. Age-related changes in the face and neck – this is a long chain of functional disorders, usually starting in one of the layers of the face (neck, body), to which the body, most often, has already adapted (adapted) due to a compensatory disorder in another layer. Each organism has its own range of adaptive capabilities, and its own leading trigger, & nbsp; involving a certain zone-link in this mechanism. For example, it can be a biomechanical, cranial, psychosomatic, chemical or connective tissue trigger. If there are many such triggers, then the solution of aesthetic problems in the correction of age-related or premature signs of aging, but especially in case of complications after invasive procedures, becomes much more complicated.

Why is it more difficult to solve the problem of premature facial aging when there are a large number of triggers?

Because, before proceeding with the correction, it is necessary not only to understand the triggers, but also to analyze the relationship between them and understand what is the consequence (compensation) and what is the cause of aesthetic deformation. And try to correct the  cause first, that is, restore the functions, and then, necessarily, the consequence, and not vice versa. If there are not many such triggers, then the aesthetic correction of facial changes can do with "light artillery" in the form of competent layer-by-layer work with the investigation.

The problem is that the number of triggers does not depend on age. It depends on the anatomical features of the bone skeleton that affect the occlusion of the upper and lower jaws, on ANY injuries received, on lifestyle, on mimic or postural patterns, on possible concomitant diseases.

That is, from everything that is included in the concept of “range of adaptive capabilities”. And this is not at all an explored layer in the preparation of aesthetic anti-age programs. I mean the effect on the aesthetic result of the ability of tissues to restore functions. When  compiling   rehabilitation programs  you need all these individual indicators & nbsp; consider and correct before proceeding  to invasive procedures.

What should be taken into account when preparing a program for the correction of premature facial aging?

To get it right  compose  treatment program  correction of biological or premature aging of the face and neck, or  complications after invasion, it is necessary  to deal with the "weak" face zones:

  1. With the condition of the barrier layer of the skin (dryness, dehydration, sagging, static wrinkles, yellow undertone, lethargy, peeling, hyperemia, inflammation, hyperpigmentation, vascular pathologies);
  2. With liquid stagnation (edema, pastosity, folds, "bags");
  3. with the condition and position of the subcutaneous fat (hypertrophy, displacement of fat pads, fibrosis);
  4. with the state of the muscles (hyper-  and hypotonicity, unbalanced  tone, mimic and postural  patterns, fibrosis);
  5. with the position of muscles, bones, subcutaneous fat (traction, asymmetry, tension, displacement, occlusion, position of the head, shoulder girdle).

Polina Lighter's School of Restorative Cosmetology  declares  set  to the course «Author's Method  Functional aesthetic rehabilitation  tissues of the face and neck «Layer therapy Reface Laitlift System». The course program consists of & nbsp; from  two 5-day  seminars  and subsequent  1-day workshops.
