Микротоковая терапия для лица в практике косметолога

Microcurrent Facial – a valuable tool in the practice of the cosmetologist that the practitioner can offer to patients who, for whatever reason, do not decide on more invasive procedures, or in addition to injection techniques.

With this method you can:

  • improve skin tone;
  • reduce the appearance of fine lines and puffiness;
  • eliminate facial asymmetry caused by muscle weakness;
  • to solve the problem of such complications of botulinum toxin therapy as ptosis or drooping of the eyebrow.

Thanks to these advantages of microcurrents, esthetician Laura Rosser (Laura Rosser) actively uses the procedure in her practice and introduces readers to estet-portal.com with the features of this method.

Microcurrent therapy for the face: indications and mechanism of action

Microcurrent Technology – a safe and effective way to reprogram muscle fibers to achieve a lifting effect and increase muscle tone in the face and body.

The effect is achieved by stimulation of the Golgi tendon organ, which is located in each muscle and is responsible for muscle tone.

Microcurrents are supplied through a special device with two electrodes – positive and negative.

Peculiarities of modern use of laser treatment

The settings used during the procedure are selected depending on the desired result:

  • more than low frequencies (about 0.8 Hz) provide lymphatic drainage effect and reduce swelling in problem areas (under the eyes, in the middle and lower third of the face), including after rhinoplasty;
  • high frequencies (up to 600 Hz) act superficially – stimulate the epidermis, improving the condition and texture of the skin, promote healing, improve blood flow and stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin.

The results of microcurrent therapy are noticeable after the first session; however, the maximum effect is achieved after a course of 6 & ndash; 7 procedures, which are carried out once a week.

Microcurrent Therapy

has been shown to:

reducing the appearance of wrinkles and lines on the face;

  • reducing the severity of post-acne and post-traumatic scars;
  • active acne reduction;
  • increasing skin permeability (to increase the effectiveness of topical ingredients).

Clinical studies on the effectiveness of laser for the correction of the periorbital region                               The conductive gel that is used to transmit current to the skin can also be fortified with beneficial ingredients.

At his clinic, the author uses an AHA-based peel to accelerate cell renewal and finishes the treatment with the application of a conductive gel with aloe vera, marine collagen and royal jelly to brighten and moisturize the skin.
