The use of direct electric current in cosmetology – not a new idea. Such procedures have been used for a very long time, but they do not lose their relevance, because under certain conditions of the skin, exposure to electrical impulses on it has a wonderful effect. One of these states – oily skin that requires regular cleansing of pores from comedones and excess sebum. The procedure of galvanic cleaning, or deincrustation, allows you to get rid of many troubles with problematic skin.

Due to which the electric current cleans the pores

The direct electric current used during the deincrustation procedure acts on the skin through the electrodes – positive and negative. These electrodes are applied to the skin, and in this case, the process of electrolysis occurs, when acid and alkaline products are formed on the skin under the influence of current. Acid destroy the ligaments between keratinocytes and loosen the skin, changing its pH, and alkaline cause the process of saponification of the secretion of the sebaceous glands.

The deincrustation procedure not only helps to cleanse the pores and exfoliate the skin, it increases vascular permeability and enhances cell metabolism.

The peculiarity of the deincrustation procedure is that the applied electrodes have a completely different effect on the tissue:  the cathode alkalizes the skin and opens the mouths of the sebaceous glands, while the anode acts in the opposite way. Thanks to this feature, it is possible to choose a program for the active use of one or another pole of the working electrode in order to solve the individual problem of the patient.

The special decontamination solution used for pore cleansing is a kind of conductive medium and complements the effect of galvanic current.

How is pore cleansing performed  during the deincrustation procedure

The deincrustation procedure is usually carried out in three stages, each of which performs an important task in cleansing the skin.

The essence of the stages of galvanic cleansing is to open the mouths of the follicles, cause saponification of the sebaceous secretion and then close the cleaned pores again.

Stage 1. We use the properties of the cathode (negative pole) to soften fatty plugs, and open the mouths of the follicles. The skin is alkalized and degreased, sebum is saponified, comedones are saponified to a depth of about half a millimeter.

Stage 2. Cleanse the skin from saponification products with a tonic or just a damp cloth.

Stage 3. We work on the skin with the help of an anode (positive pole), the action of which leads to the opposite effect. The pores are closed, the acid-base balance is restored. At the end of the procedure, we apply a tonic mask.

When effective  cleansing pores by decontamination & nbsp; and to whom the procedure is contraindicated

The deincrustation procedure is effective for shallow comedones, in which case it completely replaces mechanical pore cleansing.  The deincrustation course for minor comedones consists of three procedures carried out & nbsp; daily.

If there are deep comedones, then deincrustation serves as a kind of preparatory session before mechanical cleaning. In this case, the procedure is limited to the first two stages – treatment of facial skin with a negative pole and purification from electrolysis products.  Then you can proceed to mechanical cleaning.

In the case when the patient has already undergone mechanical cleansing of the pores, it is possible to recommend deincrustation as a preventive procedure once every two to three weeks. Such prophylaxis may well significantly delay the need for the next mechanical cleaning of the face, or even make it possible to do without it.

Oncological & nbsp; and endocrinological  diseases, pregnancy, chronic kidney disease, the presence of a pacemaker, systemic dermatological diseases, purulent processes on the skin, a feverish state.

Desincrustation is not performed if the patient has reinforcement with gold or platinum threads, aggravated sinusitis or frontal sinusitis, dental cysts, eczema, or any rash in the area of \u200b\u200bthe forthcoming skin treatment.
