The increase in the volume of the soft ones made it possible to achieve excellent results for quite a long time. As experience accumulates, practitioners begin to understand that the elimination of a wrinkle or nasolabial fold is not true rejuvenation, the latter requires an accurate assessment and a broader approach to treatment in order to achieve facial harmony. This is exactly what Dr.  Beatrice Molina says when she talks about the non-surgical three-point hyaluronic acid cannula facelift technique.

With 12 years of experience as a physician, Beatriz Molina opened her aesthetic clinic in 2005. She is also a participant and director of conferences at the British College of Aesthetic Medicine and provides training in the use of botulinum toxin and dermal fillers. She talks about the technique of non-surgical three-point facelift with hyaluronic acid.

Aesthetic medicine has now advanced further, using dermal fillers to achieve a lifting effect. Using a cannula, this effect can be achieved with just three entry points, making the procedure comfortable for the patient and recovery time very short.

Preparation for the 3-point hyaluronic acid facelift

Most patients want to return to their normal lifestyle as soon as possible after the procedure. Therefore, the use of cannulas and three entry points for a facelift with hyaluronic acid – a great way to meet such a patient requirement. These three points allow access to the entire face, and the cannula itself is safer than a needle in this use.

The number of entry points (1 & ndash; 3) for a facelift with hyaluronic acid depends on the age of the patient and the amount of volume lost. In younger patients, as a rule, there is a moderate atrophy of the middle part of the face, and in more mature – loss of volume in other areas of the face, such as the sides of the cheeks and in the temporal region.

As every esthetician knows, aging is accompanied by structural changes in the skin, loss of facial volume, exposure to gravity, bone resorption, decreased skin elasticity, and loss of distribution of subcutaneous fat.

For each point I use 0.1 ml of 2% lidocaine to make the procedure more comfortable for the patient for the three point hyaluronic acid facelift I use a 23 gauge needle to form the entry point for the cannula. I then use a 60mm 25 gauge cannula – This choice is based on ease of use. The indentation force provided by this cannula facilitates the introduction of most products, which allows for better administration control during the procedure. This cannula also ensures minimal bruising, which patients also like. As a rule, in one line I enter about 0.1 – maximum 0.2 ml of hyaluronic acid.

Three-point facelift technique with hyaluronic acid

Three-point hyaluronic acid facelift allows for a non-surgical facelift using the vectors shown in fig. 1 by restoring the volume in places of its loss. We recommended that practitioners decide on the purpose of such a procedure – Does the patient want to restore volume or just improve the texture of the skin? Depending on this, the doctor must select the appropriate technique.

First point

The first point is the most important entry point, as it is here that the maximum lifting effect can be achieved and the appearance of the middle part of the face, as well as increase the volume in the cheeks and cheekbones. From the first entry point, you can inject the product into the cheeks and cheekbones, including the lacrimal trough, and smooth out marionette wrinkles and nasolabial folds if necessary.

Second point

For the second entry point, the incision is made in the same way as for the first, only along the chin line. I find this to be an excellent position from which to introduce the product into the mandibular line while creating not only contour but also support without emphasizing the jaw. This entry point also allows the clinician to fill in the loss of volume in the lateral part of the cheek, which will provide an additional lifting effect.

The nasolabial fold area can also be treated from this point if the patient has too deep folds even after a medial and lateral facelift. Special care must be taken when working in this area due to the proximity of the parotid gland.

Third point

The third entry point is used to work with the temporal region of the face – our third target area for a lift. Such a point is more required for patients of age with a significant lack of volume in the temporal region. In addition, this entry point will allow the area of the lacrimal trough to be treated and the minimum amount of hyaluronic acid to be injected into it, as well as the cheeks and cheekbones. For patients with a significant loss of facial volume, I would advise you to cross-inject the product – using dot 1 and 3.

It is very important to be careful and inject the product slowly to avoid bruising in the temporal region; the transverse frontal branch of the superficial temporal artery runs in the superficial temporal fascia along with the interlacing of the veins.

Output

Three-point hyaluronic acid facelift with cannulas is suitable for men and women who show moderate to significant signs of facial aging. With this technique, we can perform a non-surgical facelift by inserting 4 – 6 ml of hyaluronic acid through just three entry points using a two-inch cannula. Patients love this hyaluronic acid facelift technique as they can leave the clinic looking good, natural and youthful. And the minimum recovery time allows you to return to your normal daily life as quickly as possible.
