We all know very well that the aesthetic problem of local fat deposits is quite acute. On the market, you can find products that, with varying degrees of effectiveness, offer to cope with fat accumulation. However, to achieve good results, the doctor must determine which type of drugs is best used to solve the problems of a particular patient. The best effect is demonstrated by the use of various enzymes. candidate of medical sciences, cosmetologist Natalia Velichko told estet-portal.com readers about the possibilities of enzyme therapy in solving aesthetic problems associated with subcutaneous fat.
Features of subcutaneous fat and the effect of the lipase enzyme on it
Fat cells – adipocytes – we receive from birth, and their number remains the same for our whole life. If we use certain drugs that destroy them, then the number of adipocytes is not restored. A variant of a more physiological approach – this is a decrease in the accumulation of neutral fat in adipocytes with the help of TM PBSerum preparations, in particular, these are recombinant enzymes. One of them, which directly affects the accumulation of neutral fat in adipocytes – it's a lipase.
Lipase – this is a special enzyme that each of us has in the body. Its action is aimed at reducing the reserves of neutral fat and controlling its volume in adipocytes.
Neutral fat as such is represented by cholesterol esters. Previously, it was believed that adipose tissue – this is a small layer of skin that connects the muscles directly to the dermis. Now this opinion has faded into the background, as adipose tissue is considered as a very large endocrine organ. There are two types of adipose tissue: visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue.
Visceral tissue is most susceptible to lipolysis, and subcutaneous fat, on the contrary, is less susceptible to it. Therefore, if a person has accumulations of visceral fat, he loses weight faster. If fat accumulates in subcutaneous fat, then in spite of physical activity or diet, its amount does not decrease in any way. Therefore, there are areas that are always problematic: above the knees, the inner surface of the shoulder, the inner thigh. These zones can be on the back, on the sides, which do not go away even despite the fact that a person is intensively engaged in fitness rooms.
The role of hyaluronidase in the correction of subcutaneous fat deposits
ТМ PBSerum, represented by Intercosmetics has two more enzymes in its arsenal – These are collagenase and hyaluronidase. They can also be used to treat localized fat deposits.
Hyaluronidase is able to remove interstitial edema in tissues, especially in subcutaneous fat. Why is it important? If you figure out how the formation of so-called local fat traps occurs, then this is due, first of all, to a violation of lipolysis and lipogenesis. The impact of endogenous and other factors leads to the formation of a large number of glycoproteins. These are compounds of protein and sugar that accumulate in adipose tissue.
It was previously thought that adipose tissue has only its own adipocytes and nothing else. In fact, in its composition, adipose tissue has a large number of stromal cells - fibroblasts, endotheliocytes, immunocompetent cells. Therefore, hyaluronidase works here, since glycoproteins become a direct substrate for it, and it destroys them.
Why are glycoproteins dangerous for humans? Firstly, by the fact that they contribute to the formation of irregular collagen, since they are embedded in the structure of the fibers and change it. In this case, the so-called cross-links – flabbiness of the skin appears. And secondly, glycoproteins are osmoactive substances, they attract a large number of water molecules to themselves. If there is not enough water in the surrounding tissues, the outflow of fluid from the capillaries begins. Therefore, hyaluronidase works in this place.
How does collagenase enzyme affect subcutaneous fat?
When there is a compression of fibroblasts that are present in adipose tissue between adipocytes expanded in size, interstitial fluid accumulates on glycoproteins in tissues. From this, the maximum activation of fibroblasts occurs, and collagen of the first type is formed. It is a tough fibrous tissue that forms fibrous septa. It is on them and on deformed collagen that collagenase manifests its activity.
How to choose the right enzymes for fat correction
Subcutaneous fat, active glycoproteins, deformed collagen – these are the three main application points for enzymes in localized fat deposits. Another area of their application – this is edematous-fibrosclerotic panniculopathy, which has a more popular name – cellulite.
Exactly three enzymes – lipase, collagenase and hyaluronidase – can be used to address localized fat problems.
They are universal, they can simultaneously work with all the problems that are in the subcutaneous fat.
TM PBSerum has preparations for both parenteral and surface use. These are lyophilisates – recombinant enzymes, which are the basis that does not carry an antigenic load, as it does not contain animal proteins and is therefore non-allergenic.
For home care, which we can recommend to our patients after the procedure, we also offer three types of enzyme preparations – Smooth Out Power, Lifting Power, Draining Power.
It is not uncommon after a procedure carried out in a professional setting that unwanted side effects occur in the first three days– redness, swelling, pain. With the help of enzymes that are used in home care, the symptoms are as easy as possible for the patient and thus alleviate this period of adverse events.
