esteticheskaya-ortodontiya-aktualnye-problemy-i-metody-ikh-resheniyaIn an exclusive interview for estet-portal.com, the owner of the aesthetic dentistry clinic "Villa Louisa" Cedric Charvet talks about the most pressing issues of modern orthodontics. How orthodontic problems can affect the patient's appearance, and what modern techniques help in correcting these defects   - find out right now!

Cedric, tell our readers what problems your clinic specializes in solving?

The clinic has been operating for 3 years, and we specialize in orthodontic treatment, and the main area of \u200b\u200bactivity – it is aesthetic orthodontics.

What problems in orthodontics can affect the patient's appearance?

There are so many problems in orthodontics that can affect the face. This is also a vertical problem when the patient has a deep, level or open bite. And a transversal problem that has a direct impact on a person's profile.

When we have this set of problems, we can work on the lower jaw to improve the patient's appearance.

What methods are used in your clinic to correct such pathologies in orthodontics?

Today we use a lot of elements in our work.

First of all, correct diagnosis is important in orthodontics.

We use a professional x-ray machine that has the ability to take 3D images, panoramic and cephalometric images, which is necessary for bone analysis. We are also working on highly professional patient photos. The photo is very important for aesthetics, because this is how we can analyze soft tissues. We also shoot videos to analyze every movement and changes in soft tissues during a conversation, with the patient's emotions, and then combine all the elements into one. We also use intraoral scanners to fully digitize teeth, gums and soft tissues. And the most important thing is the software that allows you to make ultra-precise analysis and treatment planning in 3D. This is the main means for obtaining aesthetic results. And after diagnosing and creating a treatment plan, we need mechanisms to to achieve a result. To do this, in orthodontics we use aligners, or, to a lesser extent, braces.

Aligners – these are invisible plastic caps that will move the teeth to the correct position.

In your opinion, how important is the collaboration of dermatologists and dentists to achieve the best aesthetic results?

This is very important today, because every specialist learns something in his profile and masters many techniques, but sometimes we are very concentrated on one technique, and we use it as much as possible to solve the problem. In order to get the best result for the patient, orthodontists must work together with estheticians and, in special cases, with surgeons.
