Every woman is very sensitive to the care of her hair. And today the most popular are those products that contain not chemical, but natural ingredients. The desired result can be achieved by resorting to a new environmentally friendly beauty method called aroma combing. This method is both simple and easy to use. The aroma combing procedure is very useful (improves the condition of the hair), pleasant (improves mood, improves well-being, relaxes) and most importantly – does not require special skills. All you need is an essential oil (of your choice) and a comb, after which you can safely proceed to the health-improving action for your hair.
Aroma hair combing: technique, rules and benefits of the procedure
The beneficial effect of combing hair with the use of essential oils occurs immediately in 2 directions.
The very careful combing enhances the blood circulation of the scalp and hair follicles, which has a beneficial effect on the growth of the hair, activates its nutrition, helps to soften, etc. And if you also anoint the curls with essential oil, then the positive effect is doubled: they become smooth, acquire shine, pleasantly fragrant.
In addition, the aroma combing procedure to a large extent contributes to solving many problems associated with the scalp and, in fact, hair: alopecia, itching, dandruff, seborrhea.
But also on the nervous system aroma combing has a miraculous effect. Each essential oil has its own benefits. Many oils have a very strong effect on our consciousness, invigorate, cheer up and are able to enhance performance. Other oils, on the contrary, have a relaxing and calming effect, help to cope with depression, insomnia, and stress. There are also aphrodisiac oils that will make you more attractive in the eyes of men, help turn the head of any of them.
Remember that our curls are able to retain odors, and therefore the expected effect when using this or that essential oil in the process of aroma combing will "accompany" you throughout the day.
Oil selection
First of all, it should be borne in mind that aroma combing will be useful only if you use high-quality and natural oils. You also need to make sure that the selected oil does not cause you allergic reactions, nausea or other unpleasant sensations.
Good to use in the morning, providing a tonic effect of oils: ginger, rosemary, cinnamon, mint.
In the evening, relax and soothe aromas: eucalyptus, chamomile, ylang-ylang, roses, lavender, and citrus fruits.
If you need an aphrodisiac oil, use patchouli, rosewood, jasmine, nutmeg or grapefruit.
Oils will help to activate the growth of curls: mint, rosemary, ylang-ylang, cloves.
Relieve dandruff oils: tea tree, eucalyptus, juniper, lavender.
Your hair will shine with patchouli, lavender or chamomile oil.
Citrus, lavender, eucalyptus oils are suitable for oily hair.
However, don't mix too many oils, otherwise you won't get the desired effect. At the same time, it is recommended to change them.
- Aromatic combing session should be given no more than five minutes 2–3 times a week to avoid split ends.
- For the procedure, purchase a massage brush (a metal comb is absolutely unacceptable) or a comb made of natural material.
- Since essential oils are highly concentrated, 3 to 6 drops of – the quantity is commensurate with the length of your curls.
- Be sure to precede aroma combing by airing the room. However, this should also be done at the end of the procedure.
- Essential oils are applied to clean curls. And it is desirable to comb the regrown part of the hair without affecting the scalp: this way you will save them from excessive greasiness (although it is worth noting that a non-greasy consistency is a feature of many oils).
By regular aroma combing sessions, you will improve your hair and provide it with a shiny look in every respect.
