Just yesterday, the measure of success was the amount of money that can be spent on entertainment, and today it is critical thinking, high immunity, the presence of hydroxychloroquine and antiviral drugs in the first aid kit.

In such a stream of global changes, it is very difficult to predict one's own future. After all, people are the most vulnerable part of any business. And not because they create something, but because they are consumers. No consumption - no business.

A new reality and a flood of global change 

Values ​​change very quickly, but people do not, but the new reality leaves them no choice. The principle "Change or die!" acquired very vivid actual outlines. And all because this virus was more successful than others.  He "plays" cat and mouse with people ahead of the curve according to his own rules. Constantly changing (mutating) and looking for a more favorable environment for his life.

The virus has divided into several large species, each of which has dozens and hundreds of different subspecies, which are already characterized by a different course and different sensitivity to drugs. In comparison, state machines are clumsy monsters, but they successfully use the current situation to solve their political and economic problems.

Aesthetic medicine: the next "difficult times" 

Watching the current situation, it becomes clear that aesthetic medicine is starting another "difficult times". It is simply impossible to predict in such a situation, because it is very difficult to see the whole "picture" what is happening, which affects several dozen countries, but you can already understand the main trends now:

  • Satisfying the basic needs of people (food, accommodation, etc.) will overshadow not only beautification, but also the correction of more serious aesthetic flaws.

  • The number of disinfection methods, their regularity and control will increase several times.

  • Instruments and materials for the safety of personnel will take on new forms that are unusual for us and will reach a new level.

  • Performing procedures in apartments where people live is becoming a high-risk activity. It will be very difficult to maintain the required level of disinfection in unsuitable for this premises. Saving on their appearance, at the risk of losing their health, will be either extreme sportsmen or people with a very low level of intelligence.

  • Customer Service can be your biggest competitive advantage. It is a system, and not a disparate set of several rules that are not always followed. A system that not only allows you to show stable results, but can also change quickly like the virus that created this situation.

  • Expansion of the range of suppliers with products that were not even supposed to be sold before. For example, sale  rapid tests for COVID-19, including home use.

  • Expansion of the range of services offered by specialists through new procedures, which were not necessary before.  

Six months ago, no one in Ukraine could have imagined that there would be a boom in demand for disposable personal protective equipment, disinfectants, laboratory tests and sophisticated medical equipment. But the situation has changed in just a few weeks.

As of March 31, 2020, the State Service of Ukraine for Medicines and Drug Control has entered into the register about 30 types of various tests, reagents and equipment for determining the coronavirus disease COVID-19. And who knows, maybe in just a few months, an express test for the presence of a viral disease in a client may become a routine procedure for a doctor of aesthetic medicine.
