- pedunculated lipomas – the wen looks like a mushroom, is located on the leg;
- soft lipomas – on palpation, the tumor tissue is soft, like dough;

- diffuse wen – seal without capsule (connecting sheath);
- ossified wen – bone tissue develops inside the lipoma;
- fibrous lipomas – dense formation with subsequent proliferation of tissue;
- petrified lipomas – calcium salts are deposited in the tissues of the wen.
Causes of wen
Scientists can hardly say why wen actually appear and for what reasons they begin to multiply and grow. Among the provoking factors for the occurrence of lipomas, there are:
- hormonal imbalance;
- dangerous injury;
- genetic predisposition (mainly in the female line);
- diabetes mellitus;
- weight jumps and, as a result, a violation of fat metabolism;
- malnutrition and daily routine;
- significant pressure on the skin (often by clothing around the waist or forearms);
- irradiation;
- age after 40 years;
- poor immunity.

How to get rid of a wen at home

- Kalanchoe or aloe compress. Rinse the aloe leaf thoroughly under running water, dry with a towel, chop with a knife or in a blender. Attach aloe to the wen, wrap with gauze and polyethylene. It is better to apply a compress at night.
- Lubricate with celandine juice. This plant should be handled very carefully, because its juice can burn the skin. Apply celandine juice pointwise to the wen. Leave the juice for 20 minutes and rinse with water. Lubricate with juice should be 3 times a day. When a hole forms in the center of the wen, apply Vishnevsky's ointment to speed up the healing of the wound.
- Use nettle tincture. Grind 50 g of dry nettle leaves and pour 500 mg of vodka into a jar of leaves. Close the jar tightly with a lid and place in a dark place for 21 days. Use a compress tincture or lubricate the seal 3-4 times a day.
- Ointment from horse chestnut and honey. 5 chestnuts washed, peeled, chopped in a blender or coffee grinder. Mix the chestnut with 1 tablespoon of honey. You can also add crushed aloe leaves to the contents. Adjust the ointment and leave it overnight, and also lubricate the wen 2-3 times a day.
Methods of treatment of wen in traditional medicine
