On New Year's Eve, we always allow ourselves to relax. This is especially true for nutrition. But if you don't want to wake up on January 10th and find that you've put on a few kilos, you just need the 5:2 diet – an easy way to keep your waistline healthy.

What is the 5:2 Diet

The principle of this diet is simple: You choose 2 non-consecutive days of the week on which you limit your diet to 500 kcal/day (for women) and 600 kcal/day (for men). In the rest of the time, you can allow any gastronomic excesses, but, of course, wisely. You can try and eat everything, the main thing – observe small portions. The concept of this dietary restriction will force your body to go into "recovery mode" after hard days and allow it to relax without accumulating fat, as in the case of "reserve mode" when we completely refuse food. Such a diet will allow the body to repair damaged cells, and this requires a lot of energy.

The 5:2 Diet has long earned an impeccable reputation, not only as an incredibly easy way to maintain the desired body weight. According to recent studies, such a diet can increase life expectancy and reduce the risk of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.

What foods can I eat on "restriction days"? We have prepared several options for each meal.
