In this period, gradual changes are already beginning, which after a while will manifest themselves as the extinction of the reproductive function. It is at this age that it is important to prevent diseases that are closely related to a decrease in the production of sex hormones. And this requires the following substances:

  • Omega-3. This polyunsaturated fatty acid helps to regulate blood cholesterol levels and protects blood vessels from atherosclerotic changes.

  • Vitamin D. Calciferol — the most important substance, without which the absorption of calcium and phosphorus is impossible. And it is precisely these minerals that are needed at this age, since the renewal of bone tissue slows down, but the fragility of the bones increases.

What vitamins are useful for women 45-55 years

At this age, the most dramatic changes in reproductive functions occur. This often entails disturbances in the work of the autonomic nervous system, which are manifested by palpitations, excessive sweating, irritability.

In your "menu" keep omega-3 and vitamin D, but supplement them:

  • Calcium. It is better to give preference to combined preparations, in which calcium and vitamin D complement each other and most effectively prevent osteoporosis.

  • Vitamin B6. Pyridoxine is very important for the nervous system, and a sufficient amount of it helps to eliminate excessive emotional excitability, get out of the state of apathy and cope with other neurosis-like conditions.

  • Magnesium. This trace element is also needed by the nervous system, but in addition, it performs important functions in the metabolism between cells. Thanks to magnesium, other beneficial substances enter cells — where they are needed, instead of transiting through the  body.

How to choose the right vitamin and mineral complex

There are few rules that will help you make the right choice among the whole variety of vitamins:

  1. Purchase the drug only in pharmacy chains, and nbsp;under no circumstances from private distributors or sports nutrition stores.

  2. Give preference to multivitamin preparations — this will provide the body with a maximum of useful substances in exactly the quantities that it needs.

  3. Accurately follow the dosage and duration of the course of treatment indicated in the instructions or recommended by the doctor.

  4. Be sure to read the  list of contraindications before you start taking the drug.

  5. If you have even the slightest doubt about the chosen remedy — better entrust the choice to your doctor.
