Лечение хронического тонзиллита – как избавиться от гнойников в горле

According to statistics, 10% of the inhabitants of Russia and European countries suffer from chronic tonsillitis. In the cold season, the disease worsens and causes a lot of problems. However, weakness and  malaise — this is not the worst thing that disease brings. It can give complications and seriously undermine health, causing an autoimmune disease, rheumatic heart disease, pyelonephritis, polyarthritis or rheumatism. Let's figure out whether there is an effective treatment for chronic tonsillitis and whether it's possible to get rid of it forever.

What is chronic tonsillitis and where does it come from

This is a long-term inflammatory process that takes place in the tonsils (tonsils). It leads to the activation of pathogenic organisms and the formation of purulent plugs in the throat. The original function of the tonsils — protection of the body from infectious diseases, but if the tonsils are sick, they do not cope with the task.

Acute inflammation is called angina. This is a common disease in children 5-15 years old, it also happens in adults. If it is not properly treated, acute tonsillitis becomes chronic. Then, after exacerbations, periods of remission come, and in cold weather, the disease again causes a lot of problems.

Chronic tonsillitis occurs if:

  • there is a constant inflammatory process in the oral cavity or respiratory tract (most often it is caries, sinusitis, sinusitis);

  • deviated nasal septum;

  • weakened immunity;

  • Adenoids have grown.

Tonsillitis becomes chronic if the sore throat was treated incorrectly and uncontrollably. Thus, many patients do not complete the course of treatment, refusing to take antibacterial drugs at the first sign of improvement. This is often the fault of young mothers. They are afraid to undermine the health of children with antibiotics and stop giving them ahead of time. This leads to the formation of purulent plugs and chronic tonsillitis in children, which can then poison their life in adulthood.

How to identify if you have a chronic disease

The main symptom of chronic tonsillitis in adults and children — purulent plugs. If they are, then all other symptoms of the disease are also present. Tonsillitis is characterized by the following symptoms:

  • Angina more often 2-3 times a year. A constant inflammatory process becomes acute when hypothermia. Sometimes drinking cold water is enough to make you sick.

  • Swelling of the palatine arches. If the palate is reddened and swollen, this is a clear sign of the disease. It is even worse if, due to edema, the palatine arches "stick together"; adhesions appeared with tonsils and

  • Swollen lymph nodes. In chronic tonsillitis, the patient may have swollen lymph nodes, the temperature stays at 37 ° C for weeks. At the same time, the person feels a breakdown, it is difficult for him to cope with work and daily duties.

The disease is accompanied by discomfort and pain in the & nbsp; throat, which sometimes causes a dry cough. Colonies of bacteria multiply on the tonsils, and as a result of their vital activity, gases with an unpleasant putrefactive odor are formed. The tonsils are covered with white-yellow abscesses, which become especially visible when pressed.

Children still get sick, but the situation worsens, because the natural barrier against infections disappears — tonsils. Now the surgery is resorted to only in extreme cases.

Surgery is needed if:
